Our predecessors, as well as ourselves, have always dreamed of prosperity in the house. They believed in the so-called "money" signs, which were supposed to enrich the family, and also performed various rituals to attract wealth.
In Russia, the peasants had a belief: in order for prosperity, prosperity and happiness to reign in the house, it had to be kept in order. The spouse of the owner of the house, the keeper of the hearth, looked after the cleanliness in the Russian hut. At the same time, the cleaning had to be done correctly - revenge or wash the floor, starting from the threshold of the dwelling, otherwise, it was believed, it was possible to sweep the wealth out of the house, and prosperity would leave the peasant hut.
The main instrument of labor used to restore order, the broom had to stand upside down, otherwise wealth would bypass housing.
Everyone, young and old, knows the Russian proverb: don't whistle - there will be no money. This proverb was not developed out of thin air. In the old days, hearing a robber's whistle, a traveler who had at least a little bit of money with him understood that if the robbers robbed him, he would be left with nothing. The second explanation of the proverb is associated with a hurricane wind, its terrible whistle, which can bring great disasters to the peasant economy.
And most importantly, our ancestors never left piercing and cutting objects on the table for the night, believing that they could cut a spirit - a brownie, a patron of the house, ensuring a happy life in the family.
