Childhood and family
Polina Sergeevna Bogusevich was born on July 4, 2003 in Moscow. Polina's parents do not work as musicians or other specialists in show business, but the singer's father is proficient in playing the guitar and the piano. The girl's mother and father were born in Kazakhstan, but are Russian by nationality, although Yulia Vasilievna, Polina's mother, also has Korean roots. Polina Bogusevich showed her musical abilities in early childhood: the girl sang beautifully, regularly performed at matinees and concerts in kindergarten, which were arranged for her parents. Kindergarten teachers drew the parents' attention to the girl's musical talent. This influenced the fact that she was sent to study at a music school, where Polina began to seriously study and improve her skills. The singer later admitted to reporters that the teachers at the music school saw in her a future pianist, but she already then showed decisiveness in character and insisted on taking vocals.
Carier start
In 2012, Polina Bogusevich took part in the Yezerski Biseri music festival for children. It was the ninth international festival-competition of children's and youth's creativity, organized in Macedonia. In the same year she performed on the television projects "Window to Paris" and "School of Music". For the next two years, the young vocalist performed with a group called the Jazz Band Phonograph, and also participated in the popular Phonograph-Sympho-Jazz orchestra, whose artistic director is Sergei Sergeevia Zhilin, a famous Russian conductor and composer. Polina Bogusevich also began to actively study vocal at the Igor Krutoy Academy and began to cooperate with the label "A-TEENS". In 2014, Polina took part in the television shows "Song of the Year 2014", "Christmas Song of the Year 2014" and "Children's Song of the Year 2014".
Participation in the TV show "Voice. Children"
In 2014, all of Russia learned about Polina Bogusevich when she took part in the TV show "Voice. Children". At the first performance of Polina Bogusevich, Maxim Fadeev, a famous producer and musician, even compared the singer with Diana Ross. Polina Bogusevich sang the song "Think" by Aretha Franklin, an American singer. All the jury members turned to the girl, but Polina chose Dima Bilan as her mentor. Polina said that her style of performance was influenced by the songs of Ella Fitzgerald, Jennifer Hudson and Christina Aguilera. She also admitted that she dreams of becoming a star and even has already chosen a stage name for herself - Paula. Unfortunately, in the television competition "Voice. Children" Polina did not make it to the finals. She left the project at the "duels" stage.

In 2016, Polina Bogusevich took part in another music competition. "San Remo". It was the sixty-sixth annual music festival and television song contest held in Italy from 9 to 13 February, where Polina Bogusevich received her first degree diploma. In 2017, Polina sent an application for participation in the international vocal competition "Junior Eurovision". The auditions were organized in the international children's camp "Artek", which is located on the southern coast of Crimea in the village of Gurzuf. The jury of the qualifying round included famous musicians: Grigory Gladkov, Evgeny Krylatov and Dina Garipova, the winner of the "Voice" show. Polina passed the selection and was honored to represent Russia at the competition in Georgia. The competition took place on November 26, 2017. Polina sang a song called "Wings", she sang it in Russian and English. It was a song about children who live in dysfunctional families and suffer from it. The text of the composition tells that every little child needs parental love and care. The announcement of the results of the competition was very exciting for Polina: at first she was inferior in the number of votes to Grigol Kipshidze, a young Georgian singer, but in the very final of the audience vote, Polina Bogusevich suddenly took the lead, and the Georgian performer took only second place. The gap was small: Polina Bogusevich scored 188 points, and the silver medalist got 185 points. To win the international competition, Polina Bogusevich, according to her, had to miss a lot of classes at school in order to qualitatively prepare for the competition. The video of Polina Bogusevia's performance was distributed on the social network "Instagram" and on the video hosting "YouTube", which made the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest famous all over the world.
Hobbies and interests
Despite her worldwide popularity, Polina Bogusevich remains an ordinary teenager. The singer said that she likes to watch movies and read books. The singer considers the films "The Maze Runner" directed by Wes Ball and the film "Fast and the Furious" as her favorite films, and from the books Pauline singles out the work of John Green "The Fault in the Stars". Polina said that in the future she dreams of connecting her life with the stage. But if something does not go according to plan, the singer is also considering the option of working as a director, and also sees herself in the profession of a veterinarian.
