Instructions

Step 1

Nekrasov's mother married his father, a poor army officer, without the consent of her parents - for love, but, despite this, their marriage was unhappy. As a child, Nikolai was strongly attached to his mother, who suffered from her husband's cruel despotism. Her image - a sufferer and a recluse - Nekrasov carried through further literary work, dedicating a number of poems to her.

Step 2

Nikolai grew up in the village, at the age of 11 he was sent to a gymnasium. Studying at the gymnasium was not given to Nikolai, which was aggravated by the strained relations with the teachers and the administration of the gymnasium. But it was here that Nekrasov began to write poems that were permeated with longing and sadness, since they were based on memories of a difficult childhood.

Step 3

His father stopped helping the young man with money after, despite his prohibitions, after graduating from the gymnasium, he decided to enter the philological faculty of St. Petersburg University. Nekrasov endured a terrible need without the support of his relatives, starved a lot, was sick and lived in a slum on the outskirts of St. Petersburg.

Step 4

After several years of severe hardship, Nekrasov began to give private lessons, write articles for magazines. His early poems were notable for romanticism. Soon, having saved up money, he released the first collection of poems. At the same time, he continued to work hard: write articles and feuilletons.

Step 5

Love for women was not the last place in the poet's life. Having fallen in love with the married A. Panaeva (with whom F. Dostoevsky was also in love at that time), Nekrasov almost committed suicide from her coldness. But when he learned that she had mutual feelings for him, he moved to Panaeva's house and began to live with her in a civil marriage with the consent of her husband. This tripartite alliance had a lot of negative publicity, but lasted 16 years. Their relationship collapsed after the death of the child born to Panaeva from Nekrasov.

Step 6

After breaking up with Panaeva, Nekrasov had only fleeting romances until he met a beautiful village, uneducated girl Zina (real name Fekla Viktorova), who admired him and learned his poems by heart. Soon they got married. This woman remained with Nekrasov until his last days.

Step 7

Throughout his life, Nekrasov was satirical about everything that was unjust and cruel around. He was a master of irony, farce, grotesque. His works were distinguished by strength and truthfulness. He created in literature a satire of a completely new - "Nekrasov" type.

Step 8

In 1875, doctors diagnosed the poet with intestinal cancer. For the last two years he was bedridden, which further increased his literary popularity. Nekrasov did not part with poetic work until the last days of his life. The great poet died on January 8, 1878. A large number of people came to his funeral. Farewell to the poet was accompanied by a literary and political demonstration.
