"Cleanliness is the key to health!" - teaches a cartoon penguin. And scientists confirm: life expectancy directly depends on the environment in which you live. But few people know that taking care of the environment is more than just bringing a piece of paper to the trash can. Everyone can make their city cleaner without much effort, and even saving money at the same time.
Instructions
Step 1
Do not throw a non-extinguished cigarette into the trash can. Burning household waste emit a huge amount of harmful substances - phenol, formaldehyde and other components.
Step 2
If an unauthorized landfill begins to accumulate in your yard, do not fight it yourself. Get it transported to a specialized waste recycling plant. But just don't set it on fire! A burning dump will do you more harm than just lying in an untidy heap. You will literally poison yourself, your family, and your neighbors.
Step 3
The same can be attributed to the heaps of leaves in the fall. The best way out is to put the fallen leaves in garbage bags, bury or let them pep in heaps. By spring, an excellent fertilizer for the flower bed at the entrance is ready!
Step 4
Exhaust gases are no less poisonous: they contain carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, under-oxidized gasoline combustion products, lead compounds used to increase the octane number. Until alternative, publicly available sources of energy for cars are found, the advice of environmentalists to switch to electric or solar cars looks unconvincing. But you can turn off the engine while you are in a traffic jam or at a traffic light - save gas and protect the environment.
Step 5
In summer, opt for a scooter or bike. It is a good choice if it is not far to work - it is maneuverable and economical, and in the case of a bicycle, it is healthy.
Step 6
Be economical on water, electricity and gas. At first glance, the link between ecology and tap water and electricity is not obvious. But think about how much natural gas is burned to get hot water from your tap, or how much resources an average hydroelectric power plant (not to mention a nuclear power plant) consumes.
Step 7
And if you can, plant at least one tree.
