The first steps
Anna Netrebko was born in the Krasnodar Territory in a family of Don Cossacks. Probably, it was the family who gave her that exuberant temperament with which the future star charmed the whole world. Anna's parents had nothing to do with music, her father worked as an engineer, and her mother was a geologist.
Since childhood, Anna took up singing and music, was a soloist of the choir at the Palace of Pioneers. After school, the talented girl entered the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Studying was easy for Anna, but the life of a provincial girl in the northern capital was not easy, she even had to work as a cleaner at the Mariinsky Theater.
However, after graduating from the conservatory, Anna Netrebko became a soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, her mentor was Valeria Gergiev, who is rightfully considered the discoverer of the star. Without his help, it would have been difficult for Anna to become the prima of one of the best theaters in Russia.
A year after graduating from the Conservatory, Anna Netrebko was invited on a tour to Riga, where she brilliantly performed a number of the most difficult operatic parts. Since then, Anna was recognized outside of Russia and was often invited to other world theaters. And soon Anna completely moved abroad.
Career
At the moment, Anna is a soloist of most famous opera houses in the world, she is known and loved abroad almost more than in Russia.
However, Anna Netrebko does not forget her homeland either. She regularly comes to Russia with concerts, she was entrusted to sing the Anthem of Russia at the Sochi Olympics. Anna collaborates with Russian opera and pop artists, sang a duet with Philip Kirkorov, sang songs by Igor Krutoy, was awarded the Golden Gramophone for the song The Voice. Anna Netrebko is one of the few opera singers who work not only in the operatic genre, but also combines classical music with pop and even rock music.
Anna Netrebko is a laureate of numerous music awards, People's Artist of Russia. In 2006, the singer received Austrian citizenship, while retaining Russian citizenship. The artist currently lives in Vienna and New York.
Personal life
Anna Netrebko's personal life was not easy. With such an insane performance schedule, starting a family is not easy. Anna dated Uruguayan baritone Erwin Schrott for six years, but the couple eventually broke up. From this relationship, Anna brings up her son Thiago Arua and considers herself a happy mother. Although this is not easy in her situation - the boy suffers from autism.
A couple of years after parting with the child's father, Anna Netrebko married the Azerbaijani tenor Yuzif Aivazov. Let's hope that in this relationship, Anna has finally found her long-deserved family happiness.
