The charming, charismatic Valentina Antipovna Titova played more than 80 roles in films and created a huge number of images on the theatrical stage, having experienced all the vicissitudes of the acting profession in the Soviet Union and in post-Soviet Russia
Valentina was born in 1942 in Kaliningrad near Moscow. There was a war, many were evacuated from their hometowns, and the Titov family ended up in Sverdlovsk, where the future actress spent her childhood.
Valya grew up like all girls - she loved to arrange concerts, look at posters with famous actors, and did not suspect that she would also become famous. There was a theater group at the school, and Valya was happy to study in it, and then in the circle of the local House of Culture. There she performed her first role on stage.
In Sverdlovsk, Titova entered the theater school, at the same time played in the Youth Theater. However, after completing two years of college, she simply ran away from home to Leningrad. Having settled in the northern capital, she entered the studio of the Bolshoi Drama Theater named after Gorky, graduating in 1964.
Career in cinema and theater
The debut of Valentina Titova happened in 1963 - it was an episode in the film "Everything remains for people." And the very next year she played one of the main characters in the film "Blizzard" based on Pushkin. The demanding director Vladimir Basov was filming the picture, and he was pleased with the actress's performance.
About the next film, we can say that the one who starred in it was lucky - after all, the film "Shield and Sword" (1968) became a cult in the USSR, and this series is still watched by viewers of different ages. Titova was lucky to play the role of Nina in this film, and after this role she became a recognizable actress.
In 1970, an important event happened in the life of Valentina Titova: she entered the service at the Theater-Studio of the Film Actor in Moscow. She played a lot, but the roles were mostly secondary. The plus was that these were very different roles, and the actress was not stuck in any one role, but was able to reveal her potential from different sides.
During the same period, Titova acted in films, and these were all very popular films that gathered full houses in cinemas: "Days of the Trubins", "TASS is authorized to declare …", "The Testament of Professor Dowell."
For all actors in the Soviet Union, the 90s became crisis years, this problem also affected Titova - she began to act in films much less often. From the films of the last period, one can note the films "Love in Russian", "It is not recommended to offend women", "Evlampy Romanov 2", "Amazons".
The last project, in which Valentina Antipovna took part, is the TV program "Priceless Love" (2013).
Personal life
They say that according to the script of Titova's family life, it is quite possible to shoot a melodrama - there was so much romance and parting with men.
The first love was unhappy - the actor Vyacheslav Shalevich was married, and they met from time to time, not for long. Several times Shalevich promised to divorce in order to unite the knot with Valentina, but this never happened.
The first official husband of Titova was director Vladimir Basov. In this marriage, two children were born: Alexander and Lisa. Their life cannot be called easy - there were all kinds of things. Once Valentina could not stand it and left the family. The court left the children with Basov.
The happiest marriage was with Titova with the operator Georgy Rerberg, her second husband. They lived for 20 years, until the death of George.
Now Valentina Antipovna lives in the same apartment where she lived with her second husband, communicates with children and grandchildren - she has two of them. And, in the opinion of others, for her age she looks just amazing.
