Biography
The future composer was born on February 21, 1791, in the city of Vienna. The boy's first teacher was his father Czerny Wenzel. As a qualified music teacher, Karl's father gave his son all the essential piano skills and a quality education. Karl Cerny gave the impression of a gifted and talented musician, his father was proud of his son and claimed that he surpassed all possible expectations.
Later, Karl Cerny studied the craft with such prominent composers as: Antonio Salieri, Muzio Clementi and Ludwig van Beethoven. The latter was impressed by the boy's talent and giftedness when he saw a mini-performance of young Karl. Beethoven took the young talent under his wing, shared his knowledge and experience with the boy. The famous musician has always said that Karla has a great future in the music field.
Career
Since 1800, Karl Czerny has been active in concert. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that the musician was plagued by doubts about his talent all his life. He often refused to perform and took breaks. But still, even outside of concert activities, the musician played constantly, it was difficult for him to imagine life without this.
The composer was more attracted to teaching, and subsequently he completely immersed himself in this activity. Karl Cerny in his lessons was guided by the teaching method of Ludwig van Beethoven. He has trained many successful musicians, and his most successful student is Franz Liszt. During his studies, Karl forced his young followers to engage not only in practical games, but also to read biographies of famous cultural figures in order to be in a constant creative flow.
Creation
Karl Cerny left behind a huge number of works, some of which are performed to this day. "The Art of Finger Dexterity", Daily Exercises, "Great Piano School" - these are considered the most significant opuses. The composer wrote in a variety of genres - from requiems to romances. Karl Cerny also created memoirs and textbooks, and at the end of his life he began to pay more and more attention to autobiographical essays and literary criticism. In total, the composer wrote at least 1000 works.
Personal life
Karl Cerny devoted his entire life to music, the composer was literally obsessed with the art of playing the piano so much that he did not have time for marriage. He has never been married, except to music. On July 15, 1857, the composer left the world, but his musical legacy will forever remain in the memory of piano lovers.
