The Christian religion encourages people to be vigorous and steadfast in their faith in God. Straining his spiritual and physical strength, a person should do only good deeds. Fulfillment of Christian commandments requires from us fortitude, firmness of character, uncompromising struggle against various vices. Selfless struggle with evil, with temptations prepared for the human race by dark forces, according to Christianity, should be daily and merciless. Prayer, fasting, keeping the commandments of God - these are the main means of protecting people from Satan.
The reward for a true Christian, who has realized his sins, repented of them and chose the righteous path, will be eternal life in Paradise. Unrepentant sinners and those who did not want to be with God will face eternal torment in Hell. The fate of each person will be decided during the Last Judgment, which will take place after the second coming of Jesus Christ to Earth.
