Colleagues of Dmitry Gordon believe that in his interviews the journalist tries to avoid unpleasant and inconvenient questions for the interlocutors. He is neutral to the statements of guests that require clarification or confirmation. Despite all this, his programs turn out to be unusually bright and are very popular with viewers.
Childhood and youth
The native Kievite Dmitry Gordon was born in 1967. At first, Dima lived in a communal apartment on Lev Tolstoy Square, until the family received a separate apartment. The boy's parents owned engineering specialties: dad is a builder, mom is an economist. The only child in the family was curious. He quickly learned to read and mastered a geographic atlas. Dima went to school at the age of 6 and received a certificate 2 years earlier than his peers - he passed exams for 5-6 grades as an external exam. The teenager's circle of interests was very wide: history, music, cinema, theater, football.
After leaving school, Gordon decided to continue the family dynasty and entered a civil engineering institute. I didn’t have to dream of a career as a journalist - my Jewish roots interfered. After the second year there was a break in studies, the student was drafted into the army. Dmitry served in the missile forces, received the rank of sergeant and became a candidate for membership in the CPSU. During his studies, he was finally convinced that he had chosen the wrong vector of education.
Journalism
The first steps of Gordon's journalistic biography coincided with his 2nd year of university studies. For the first time, his sketches and photographs appeared in the publications Komsomolskoye Znamya, Vecherny Kiev and Sportivnaya Gazeta. This was followed by work in "Komsomolskaya Pravda", published in a circulation of 22 million copies.
After receiving his diploma, Dmitry went not to the construction site, but to the editorial office of the newspaper "Evening Kiev".
