Maslennikov Vladimir Anatolyevich is one of the youngest members of the Russian national bullet shooting team. He is an international master of sports, European champion and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Biography
Volodya Maslennikov was born in a small, very beautiful closed town of Russia called Lesnoy, in the Sverdlovsk region. It happened on August 17, 1994. As parents recall, he grew up as a very calm, flexible child. At the age of three, his dad gave him an air rifle to hold, which he was delighted with. At the age of 4, the boy's father, Anatoly Maslennikov, brought his son to the shooting range for the first time, from which his passion for shooting began. Father did it deliberately. All his life he was seriously engaged in and is engaged in bullet shooting - master of sports. More than once he went to the winners, winning prizes at the championships of Russia. To this day, he contributes to the development of this sport, working as a coach. Service in the Army with the elder Maslennikov was also associated with shooting. And therefore, without hesitation, he sent his son to the bullet shooting section and was not mistaken.
Youth - the beginning of a sports career
Since childhood, Volodya was a fan of this sport, although at first he was fond of football, hockey, and even basketball. He spent all his time in the sports section. I took my studies very seriously. He started participating in all kinds of shooting competitions early. Thanks to his character, perseverance, patience, he achieved great results. Due to his fanatical passion for shooting, after graduating from the 9th grade, he did not continue his education, but immediately entered the Olympic reserve school. Victory in his favorite sport was his main goal. At the age of 16, the young man was already a member of the national team (2010).
Serious victories
Vladimir Maslennikov is one of the youngest honored masters of sports. He is trained by honored coaches of Russia V. Kutkin and A. Yurkov. He is a multiple winner and medalist of the Russian, European and world championships. He won his first silver at the age of twenty-one (2015) in the individual competition. He also became a bronze medalist, both in individual and team events.
Vladimir won a serious victory at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Volodya took third place in the air rifle shooting, becoming the bronze medalist of the Olympics (184, 2 points), losing to the Ukrainian and Italian. He proudly replenished the collection of medals for the Russian national team, which was limited by the number of athletes who participated in this Olympics.
