Voskresensk. A small town in the south-east of Moscow with a population of just under 100 thousand people. It would seem, what is special about it? And you go and ask the older generation living there, "Who is Doctors?" Even, ask the advanced youth. Either way, chances are they'll look at you like you're crazy. Or maybe not. In any case, the person who will be discussed later is, in a way, a celebrity for the Resurrectionists.
Labor glory
Despite the fact that the residents of Voskresensk know this person well, Nikolai Ivanovich Doktorov was born in St. Petersburg on December 6, 1907. Moreover, it is interesting that many success stories begin with the fact that a person comes from a simple family. Well, Nikolai Doktorov is no exception. Nikolai's family are bricklayers. Nikolai himself, from the age of 15, learned the basics of turning at the automobile plant in the city of Yaroslavl, having graduated from a vocational school before.
In the evening after work at the plant, young Nikolai went to study at the workers' faculty, in order to later enter the university. And already in 1931 the Chemical Technical Institute of the city of Ivanovo opened its doors to it. According to the customs of that time, as a student, Nikolai joined the ranks of the Communist Party. In his third year, Nikolai Doktorov was elected secretary of the party committee.
After defending his diploma, as expected, he worked as a process engineer at the 102nd plant in the city of Chapayevsk. In 1938 he became the head of the workshop. Since then, this man's career has developed rapidly. In just a couple of years, he became an employee of the personnel department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.
And in 1941, the mandate of the GKO commissioner appeared in Nikolai Ivanovich's pocket. A year and a half later, he became a party organizer at the 582nd plant in the city of Balashikha. And so, working tirelessly throughout the five-year plan, in 1947 fate (or the party leadership - for many people of that time these were synonyms) brought him to the Resurrection Chemical Combine, with which Nikolai Ivanovich linked most of his working life.
Love for Voskresensk
Perhaps Voskresensk burst into the biography of Nikolai Doktorov not by accident. In 1950 he became the director of a chemical plant. During his leadership, the plant became one of the main connecting links in the chemical industry of the Soviet Union.
Moreover, much attention was paid to urban infrastructure. Thanks to Nikolai Doktorov, a polyclinic, a Palace of Culture, kindergartens, a Sports Palace, and even a tourist base were built in Voskresensk.
In this regard, in the spring of 1971, Nikolai Doktorov deservedly achieved the title of Hero of Socialist Labor and received the Order of Lenin.
It is also worth noting that Nikolai Ivanovich is the first resident in the history of Voskresensk who was awarded the proud title of "Honorary Citizen of the City".
Thus, in addition to labor fame, Nikolai Doktorov also won the love of the residents of provincial Voskresensk.
Unfortunately, nothing is known for certain about the personal life of Nikolai Ivanovich. Despite this, we can safely say that this man was the most real drummer of labor. And one gets the impression that the whole of Voskresensk is his big and friendly family.
The vicissitudes of fate
Nikolai Doktorov grew from a simple worker by education to a party worker. All this shows how unpredictable a person's life can be, even despite a certain stability and predetermination of the time in which Nikolai Ivanovich happened to live. And this certainly deserves attention.
