The opposition "March of Millions", according to RIA Novosti, took place in Moscow and some other large cities of Russia on May 6, 2012. However, it was in the capital that he was the most visible and large-scale.

The first incidents took place even before the start of the action. The police confiscated three tents from the representatives of the organizers of the "March of Millions". They tried to carry them to the square secretly, in garbage cans.
Step 2
As it was stated by Moscow law enforcement agencies, an unknown device, which was originally mistaken for a smoke bomb, was also discovered, as well as fifty-millimeter tubes with powder charges. Moreover, the appointment was not civilian, but rather military. These were obviously special-purpose fireworks.

At about 16:00 Moscow time, the participants of the "March of Millions" gathered in Kaluzhskaya Square, and then formed columns and began their movement in the direction of Bolotnaya. A total of about 30,000 people are believed to have taken part in the action.

The meeting itself lasted about several tens of minutes. During it, the participants made an attempt to break through the disconnection in order to start their movement in the direction of Red Square. Detentions began.
Step 5
In addition, some of the people participating in the march tried to organize a sit-in strike near the Udarnik cinema. These actions were stopped by the police. Politician Boris Nemtsov, blogger Alexei Navalny and leader of the Left Front Sergei Udaltsov, as well as other personalities not known to a wide range of people, were detained. During the clashes, several police officers were injured.
Step 6
Unfortunately, there was a fatal accident. During the "March of Millions" in the center of Moscow, a photographer was killed while trying to capture the procession on film.
Step 7
According to the Moscow police, an unknown man with an amateur camera climbed the stairs of a house at 35 Bolshaya Yakimanka Street. In the area of the 5-6th floor, he fell down the stairs and died on the spot from his injuries. Eyewitnesses of the incident stated this to the law enforcement agencies.
Step 8
After the end of the rally, police officers blocked all approaches to the Manezhnaya and Red Squares, and also closed all passages along the nearby lanes.
