The miracle of myrrh streaming in Orthodoxy has been known since ancient times. The relics of the saints wept, the icons were bleeding.
In our time, the myrrh-streaming of icons has become widespread, icons cry and bleed not only in churches and monasteries, but also in private houses and apartments. And there is a very interesting fact, not only icons exude myrrh, but even reproductions from icons, photocopies of saints, postcards, calendars with images of icons.
What is myrrh streaming? This is the release of light oily moisture on icons, sacred objects and relics of saints. Distinguish myrrh streams by smell. It can be either odorless or fragrant exuding the aroma of jasmine, rose, pine needles, lilac and incense. Also, myrrh streaming has different sizes and shapes. Sometimes it completely covers the icon, but it can also flow from different points. An unusual phenomenon was observed that refuted physical laws - the drops did not flow down, but up. Moisture can appear on the surface of the icon, metal frames, icon case glasses. Moreover, it does not matter whether the ancient icon is or not, as well as on what material it is written - wood, paper, glass, etc.
As mentioned earlier, not only icons but also reproductions and photocopies exude myrrh. In 1997, myrrh was observed on a color copy of the Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II, it was recorded by a video camera. Soon, when this icon was taken to the cities, a miracle happened in Tuchino, a woman bedridden for many years was healed in front of the eyes of people, kissing the image.
