Dmitry Nikolaevich Kozak was born on November 7, 1958 in an ordinary Soviet family. The parents lived in a remote area of the Kirovograd region in Ukraine. A child from a young age grew up in a favorable environment. They did not shout at him, did not frighten him with a belt, but calmly and consistently taught him to work and accuracy.
Dmitry studied well at school. He showed a clear penchant for the exact sciences. Mathematics and physics were my favorite subjects. I was friends with my classmates. He went in for sports and participated in public life. I watched how their peers live, what they dream about and what they want from life. Having received a certificate of maturity, Kozak became a student at the Polytechnic Institute in Vinnitsa. But he quickly realized that the chosen specialty was completely uninteresting to him. A strong and quick-witted guy was immediately drafted into the army.
Leningrad period
In 1978, Dmitry was demobilized and headed straight for Leningrad. Without problems and acquaintances I entered the legal department of a local university. Having received an excellent education, the young lawyer came to work in the city prosecutor's office. In law enforcement, Kozak did not succeed. He had to go to a construction company as a lawyer. After the infamous August 1991 putsch and the liquidation of the USSR, capable and energetic specialists were required for the structures of democratic power.
Dmitry Nikolaevich held various positions in the St. Petersburg City Hall for several years. During this period, privatization and transfer of enterprises to market principles of management were carried out throughout the country. Then the situation in the city on the Neva changed and he accepted offers to move to Moscow for a responsible position in the presidential administration. After some time, Kozak was appointed the president's representative to the Southern Federal District. In this post, the seasoned lawyer required not only diplomatic skills, but also creativity and an "iron hand".

Since March 2018, Dmitry Kozak has been serving as Minister for Industry in the Russian government. Despite the high rank in the structure of the establishment, the minister should not be envied. The situation in the economy remains unstable. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. It is difficult to accept such a situation as the norm.
Dmitry Nikolaevich's personal life cannot be called stable either. He is married for a second time. The husband and wife met at work. As we met, we decided to live together. Not to say that this is love, but it looks like. The first wife gave birth to two sons, who are currently living an independent life.
