In the current historical period of time, many people are carried away by fashion trends, without bothering to study the true foundations of life. The Italian philosopher and esotericist Julius Evola considered such behavior frivolous and unacceptable.
Initial placement
According to some researchers, human civilization began from the moment when people began to think about the meaning of their existence. Thousands of years have passed, but an unambiguous answer to the question that has arisen has not yet been found. Julius Evola, an Italian thinker, throughout his life tried to clarify this topic. In his writings, he paid great attention to the criticism of the existing social order. The philosopher personally took part in the conflicts that unfolded in Europe in the first half of the twentieth century.
The author of the book "Rebellion against the modern world" was born on May 19, 1898 in an aristocratic family. At birth, he inherited the title of Baron. Parents lived in the eternal city of Rome. The child was educated at home. Upon reaching the appropriate age, he entered the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Rome. When World War I broke out, Julius volunteered for the army. Received an officer's rank and commanded an artillery battery.
Works and hobbies
After the war, Evola spent several years looking for his place and purpose. The country's declining economy was recovering very slowly. The former artillery officer became interested in painting. And he achieved worthy results in artistic creation. One of the thinker's paintings is kept in the Roman Gallery of Modern Art. Julius regularly wrote articles analyzing the country's economic situation and published them in various publications. At one time he published his own magazine, which was called "Tower". Only ten issues were released. After that, the censorship imposed a ban on the publication.
In the mid-1930s, Evola worked closely with the Fascist System magazine. On the pages of this publication, the author maintains a permanent column in which he popularizes his views on the structure of society and the state. As subsequent events showed, the views of the philosopher did not suit either the fascists, or the monarchists, or the communists. Julius argued and convincingly argued that comparing a man and a woman is a pointless and harmful procedure for everyone. It is not surprising that the philosopher was attacked from all sides.
Recognition and privacy
During World War II, Julius Evola was seriously injured when bombed by the US Air Force. The famous writer was able to overcome the consequences that arose and continued to work on books until his death.
Little is known about the personal life of the philosopher. In his early youth, he married a representative of the aristocratic class. However, the husband and wife broke up after a year. Based on this experience, Julius wrote the book The Metaphysics of Sex.
The writer passed away in June 1974.
