Natalia began her career with filming in commercials, she advertised "Coca-Cola", "Pepsi" and cosmetics "Johnson & Johnson". From the age of 14, Natalia worked on the MTV channel, she was the co-host of the famous Brazilian TV star Shushi. However, her main goal was to break into the cinema. From the age of 17, Oreiro attended all kinds of auditions in Buenos Aires, got cameo roles in the TV series "Recalcitrant Heart" and "Gentle Ana". In this modern version of Romeo and Juliet, Natalia played Valeria García Mendes, a young schoolgirl who fell in love with her son Luciano Solerno, her father's enemy. Diego Ramos became Natalia's partner, with whom they would later star in "Wild Angel". It was "The Rich and the Famous" that made the charming Uruguayan the new star of Latin American soap operas.
Wild Angel
In 1998, the actress began filming the series "Wild Angel". The original name "Muneca Brava" translates as "brave doll". In the center of the narrative is the love story of the servant Milagros and the son of the owner Ivo. She is an orphan, a pupil of a monastery and an inveterate football player with an independent character. He is the spoiled heir to a million dollar fortune. Passion instantly flares up between the characters, but, according to the law of the genre, lovers have to overcome many obstacles on the way to joint happiness. Despite the banality of the plot, excessive protraction, numerous inconsistencies and bloopers, the series was simply a resounding success. Broadcasting companies from 63 countries have bought the right to broadcast "Wild Angel". Natalia Oreiro was nominated for the very prestigious Martin Fierro Prize in Argentina. The series won the Israeli telenovela competition VIVA 2000. In addition, Natalia Oreiro sang the song "Cambio Dolor", which became the main soundtrack of the series. In the wake of popularity, Natalia released the album "Tu Veneno", which sold 2 million copies around the world.
In the rhythm of tango
In Russia, Oreiro has no less an army of fans than in Latin America. Russian TV viewers lovingly call her Nati, create fan clubs for the actress. Thanks to her truly nationwide popularity, in 2005 the actress was invited to appear in the Russian TV series In the Rhythm of Tango. According to the plot of the 16-episode novel, Natalia Salanos comes to Moscow after her husband, the footballer Enrique. Filming took place in Russia and Argentina. It turned out to be a criminal melodrama to the sounds of Argentine tango. Famous Russian actors Valery Nikolaev, Lev Durov, Olga Pogodina and Maria Semkina became Oreiro's partners on the set.
