Zoya Yakovleva was not only a talented theater actress, but also a heroic woman. Together with her husband, she was a member of the underground group "Falcon", which included employees of the Simferopol Theater.
During the Great Patriotic War, many feats were accomplished. Behind one of them is the name of Zoya Yakovleva. This actress, together with her husband, worked underground, in the "Falcon" group. At the cost of their lives, such war heroes brought Victory Day closer.
Biography
Zoya Yakovleva was born in 1898, on March 17 in Chuvashia. The girl was left an orphan early. Zoya was six years old when her father passed away, when she was nine, her mother died.
So Zoya was left alone with her brother Arkady. The children wandered, sometimes living with their aunts, then with their grandmother. These relatives also did not have enough, so everyone was starving.
To somehow support her brother, Zoya sang to him, told stories.
The girl did not manage to get secondary education, but she graduated from several classes of school, learned to read and write and read a lot. Zoya Titovna wanted to be an actress, but first she went to work in the veterinary department, as she had to earn money to feed herself.
Theatrical career
But the girl did not leave her dream, she entered the Theater collective, where various plays were staged. The half-starved actors played in cold rooms, but they were happy that they were doing what they loved.
Zoya Yakovleva took part in the decisions even in the warehouse, where matting and bast were previously stored. Here, enthusiasts have created an auditorium, a stage.
In this small theater, Yakovleva played under the direction of Maksimov-Kashinsky, it was he who strongly advised Zoya to go to study as an actress. So she went to Kazan, where she graduated from a two-year course in a theater studio.
But the girl did not forget about her homeland either. She often played on the stage in the city of Cheboksary.
Then she met her future husband. It was Dmitry Dobromyslov. The couple toured together with the theater group, and in 1938 they went to the Crimea. Here they began to play in the regional drama theater.
Sokol group
Husband and wife (Dobromyslov and Yakovleva) entered the underground group "Sokol". This was the call sign of its organizer, who was the chief theater designer Nikolai Baryshev. And the youngest of the group, Oleg Savateev, the artist's assistant, was only 15 years old.
During its existence, the underground organization was able to transmit about 300 important reports and carry out 45 acts of sabotage.
Zoya Yakovleva's work was appreciated by many contemporaries. She was a beloved, revered actress, but died on April 10, 1944, along with her comrades in the underground.
The group was exposed by the treachery of the Crimean Tatars introduced by the Germans. Eight famous heroes, among whom were actors, stage workers, artists, were arrested immediately after the performance. They were not even allowed to change their clothes, but were put into a truck and taken to the casemates for interrogation.
At dawn on April 10, 1944, the heroes were taken to be shot. They were allowed to say goodbye to their favorite theater, which now has a memorial plaque. It depicts the images of all eight underground workers, among which there is a sculptural portrait of Zoya Titovna Yakovleva, whose theatrical career ended so early.
A documentary film was shot about the feat of the workers of the Simferopol Theater, as well as a feature film.
