Olga Yakovleva is a film and theater actress, People's Artist of the RSFSR. The performer is twice a laureate of the Crystal Turandot and Golden Mask awards.
The muse of Anatoly Efros and the prima Olga Yakovleva became one of the last theatrical legends. It was impossible not to fall in love with her gentle and fragile heroines. Her victorious defenselessness was striking. The future actress was born in Tambov in 1941, on March 14.
Childhood time
My father was a commercial director at factories. The family had to move frequently. Olga remembered her mother as an unusual person who understands children like no one else, she very delicately felt everything around her. The parent could appreciate the freedom and personality of both daughters.
When the youngest Yakovleva was fond of playing Tarzan and Chita and climbed a tree, her mother did not call her, standing below, like the others, but brought food to the tree and asked Chita to go down and grab a treat with her. Olya attended theater studios in many cities. She graduated from the Theater for Young Spectators in Alma-Ata.
The enthusiasm was not aroused in the family. Parents, having learned about the choice of their daughter, began to argue against such a career. Then Olya said that otherwise she would enter the circus school. The parents could not resist this argument. The girl was admitted to the exams. She chose Shchukinskoe at random and immediately entered, bypassing one of the rounds.
Mom was upset, telling her daughter that she began an independent life too early. During her third year of studies, Olga played at the Vakhtangov Theater in the play "The Sixth Floor" Edvizh. Then the aspiring actress was invited to the theater of satire, Pushkin, "Lenkom". There she was asked to play along with graduate students.
Yakovleva gave the floor after completing the training to come to the team of "Lenkom". She kept her word. At first everything seemed dark and stuffy to her. The repertoire did not suit. But it all ended with the arrival of Anatoly Efros.
The director of the theater gave not the best description of the young performer, complaining that she was bored in the theater. However, the famous director decided otherwise after watching Olga's play.
Working with a wizard
The manner of a lively and impulsive girl amazed the master. In spontaneity, no one could compete with Yakovleva. The young actress knew how to laugh so loudly at the lines given, as if she had heard jokes for the first time.
Efros called Olga one of the few who knew how to wear costumes and wigs from different times. But for this, the actress waged real wars with dressers and make-up artists. The result was that her Juliet looked graceful, her dress was beautifully sewn. The other actors just sighed at the heavy and uncomfortable clothes.
The artist never suffered from a bad mood during performances. She lived from premiere to premiere. If Olga saw a good film, book, she thanked for such a miracle. She assured that it is easier to live with gratitude in the world. For a quarter of a century, the director and actress worked together.
The performer became a muse for Efros. She followed him, moving to other theaters, never regretting it. When the great master left, Yakovleva left for a while in order to collect her thoughts and experience the misfortune. Until 1991 she worked in France. A strong personality found the strength to continue playing with other directors.
Since 2004 Yakovleva joined the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater troupe. Olga adored nature, but her husband, the famous football player Igor Netto, rebelled against the dacha. Therefore, for the wife, nature was replaced by the lawn in front of the house. The girl met her future husband upon admission.
The well-bred Igor was courted by all the rules. He behaved himself with emphatically correct and polite behavior. Therefore, having heard the offer a year after they met, the girl accepted it.
Personal life
Yakovleva Netto liked the theater student company. If Igor played a match or Olga took exams, all the artists would gather in the house. In the evenings, Netto took guests home. The early marriage of the parents' daughter was shocking.
They personally did not object to Igor, but his father believed that for such a serious matter as marriage, one needs to grow up. Gavriil Kachalov, Netto coach, also advised the actress to change her mind. He talked about the uncompromising football player.
But the lovers did not change their decision. From the second year Olga became Netto's wife. She turned into his faithful friend. Everyone had a favorite profession, both understood each other perfectly. Laconic Net did not condemn anyone. He needed little, only for a while they quarreled with some everyday issues.
If the wife had a performance in the evening, the husband did not wake her up in the morning, carefully doing his chores in the kitchen. He called his wife to the table only when breakfast was ready. If Igor was preparing for a match or departure, there were no guests or girlfriends in the house the day before. The same thing after the game: Olga could not guess in what mood her husband would arrive. The marriage broke up in 1987.
In 2003, a book of memoirs of the actress "If I knew …" was published. In her memoirs, the author tells about the dramatic events in the theaters in which she happened to work, about the most tragic period in the life of Efros. The audience remembered Olga most of all in the image of Tanya in the film of the same name by the famous director based on the play Arbuzov.
Yakovleva brilliantly played Natalya Petrovna after Turgenev's work in "A Month in the Country". In 2011, the theatrical actress was awarded the Crystal Turandot Prize and the Theatrical Heritage nomination. Yakovleva is sure that every person has their own specifics.
Complexes do not disappear anywhere. They only change. The actress called herself both an explosive bully and a shy person.
