Zoya Yashchenko is the founder of the White Guard group, a singer and a talented poetess. In the 90s, this fragile woman conquered Russian youth with her voice and poetry. Her songs have become a symbol of freedom and youth.
Biography
Yashchenko Zoya Nikolaevna was born in 1972 on the last day of February, the 29th. She is Ukrainian by nationality, originally from Poltava. Zoya began to write poetry while still at school, at the same time “on the streets”, together with her comrades, she learned to play the guitar.
After graduating from school, Zoya worked in a regional newspaper for about three years, then moved to Moscow. In Moscow, an ambitious girl entered the institute and studied with A. Evstigneev in the guitar class. Zoya's debut performance with songs of her own composition was in the walls of the Moscow State University dormitory. Even then, the students, who are also listeners, prophesied to the girl that she would certainly become famous.
Career
In 1991, Zoya Yashchenko, together with guitarist Oleg Zalivako, formed the White Guard band. At first it was not even a group, but just a duet of two songwriters and musicians. Artists performed in metro passages, wrote new songs.
The official date of the creation of the group is 1993. Then Yuri Soshin joined the group. In 1993, the trio recorded their first, debut album, which was created almost at home. But despite this, Zoe's songs became hits. The singer's voice was mesmerizing, the lyrics were remembered and penetrated into the hearts of listeners.
Later, the sounds of the flute played by Katya Orlova appeared in the music of the White Guard. The melody of this gentle instrument lent a certain mystery to the band's compositions. This is the lineup formed at the beginning of the long creative path of the group in 1994.
Zoya and her musicians were regularly invited to perform at various recreation centers in Moscow, as well as at the Polytechnic Museum and the Central House of Artists. In addition, the artists traveled the world, performed in the squares of different cities and countries, and were inspired by the culture of other nations.
In 1996, after the exciting travels of the team, two new collections were released, dedicated to the memories of the bright and mysterious India. It is about her that Zoya wrote most of all sensual poems filled with oriental flavor.
By 1997, the group had already recorded 5 discs, but in the period from 1997 to 1999, the relationship between the members of the group became somewhat more complicated. Perhaps the reason for this was a personal conflict between Zoya and Oleg Zalivako, who at that time was her husband. And in 1999 the group finally breaks up.
Despite a difficult period filled with difficulties due to a divorce, Zoya Yashchenko soon finds a new member for the team, Dmitry Baulin, who not only perfectly fit into the group, but was also able to win the heart of the poetess. And together with Dmitry Zoya releases the next albums: "Petersburg" and "It's all you".
The White Guard team comes to life again. Soon, three more talented men appeared in the new composition of the group: Artem Rudenko, Konstantin Reutov and Pavel Erokhin. Fortunately, the line-up change did not affect the popularity of the songs of "Gvardia" Zoe's poems and music have remained invariably mesmerizing.
In 2000, the White Guard group was first invited for an interview as part of the Anthropology program, hosted by Dmitry Dibrov. More and more people learn about the collective and the popularity of artists is growing. "White Guard" starts touring by invitations from European countries.
Dmitry Baulin began producing the team independently in 2002, continuing to work with lyrics, music and video. When they learn about Dmitry as an arranger, he receives many offers of cooperation. And in 2002 Zoya pleases fans with new albums with fresh compositions.
In 2005, one of the group's songs wins a competition and is played on the radio. Zoe's voice becomes recognizable and in demand. Then the following albums are released: "Peter", "A Doll in a Pocket". The song "Peter" from the album with the same name becomes very popular on Radio 101.
In 2006, a documentary film about the life of the artists entitled "I Will Fly" was released. In the film, the musicians talk about their lives, about travels and performances in different parts of the world, about what is hidden behind the scenes and about the performances themselves. And also the film contains all the broadcasts and interviews with the band members.
In 2008 "White Guard" released several video clips and gained commercial success. The next year the group pleases listeners with new albums: "Key from the Ashes" and "Clockwork Cricket". In total, this is the 14th album in the band's collection. A few months later, Dmitry released his own album called "One Step", it contains only songs written by Baulin.
And in 2010 the collection, which was the very first for the group, was completely re-recorded with the help of professional equipment. The White Guard group is still releasing albums, performing on the stages of Moscow and other cities of Russia. Until 2018, five more albums were released.
