The famous chansonnier Mikhail Mikhailovich Zvezdinsky has a very unique creative destiny behind his shoulders, which can be fully compared with the classics of "thieves" songs. Each time his work received a new impulse when he was serving prison sentences, interspersed with the hardships of life and rare dates with his beloved woman.
The real name of the singer Zvezdinsky is Deinekin. But she cannot in the full sense be called a creative pseudonym, since the Polish ancestors of Mikhail Mikhailovich are the Gvezdinskys. Repressions and executions by the Soviet authorities of the grandfather and father of the famous artist forced the mother to leave her son to be raised by his grandmother.
This hereditary noblewoman, who grew up on old romances, was able to instill in her grandson a love for this art form and interest him in the revolutionary events of 1917 and later. Therefore, it was precisely the White Guard theme that determined the special attitude of Zvezdinsky to this period in his work.
Biography and career of Mikhail Mikhailovich Zvezdinsky
On March 6, 1945, the future popular singer was born in Lyubertsy near Moscow. Childhood and youth of Mikhail passed in dubious companies, and therefore he was expelled from school several times. However, his interest in musical creativity was expressed in the fact that he began to study at a music school (class of percussion instruments).
Beginning at the age of fifteen, Mikhail Zvezdinsky began to earn his living by performing in restaurants, recreation centers and open areas. In his repertoire, not only "restaurant" compositions begin to appear, but also songs inspired by the work of Mikhail Bulgakov "White Guard", a very revered musician.
In the "White Guard cycle", one can separately highlight precisely "Paris is waiting for you" and "Lieutenant Golitsyn", which are still perceived by listeners throughout the post-Soviet space very positively. One can argue about the authorship of the latter composition, but Zvezdinsky himself admits that he borrowed it from Georgy Goncharenko.
Interesting episodes in the artist's creative career can be called the periods of his prison "jail time", dated by years of imprisonment: arrest for theft (1962), prison term for desertion (1966), accusation of rape of a foreign citizen (1973), imprisonment for illegal business and bribery (1980). And since 1988, a new stage of creativity begins, associated with giving concerts and recording new compositions.
Currently, the discography of Mikhail Mikhailovich Zvezdinsky contains the following albums: "On the Zone in Two Guitars" (1986), "Don't lose your courage" (1990), "Behind the Cordon Russia" (1991), "Trace of Love" (1993), “Fascinated, bewitched” (1994), “Wolves” (1996), “We were born in Siberia” (1997), “A path is long and far” (1998), “Russia XXI century” (2000), “Moscow-Peter” (2002), “Forward and Upward” (2004), “Phoenix” (2006), “Believe in Bright Dreams” (2011), “Engeocom” (2012).
In recent years, the artist continues to give concerts and appear on Radio Chanson, despite his venerable age.
Personal life of the artist
The family life of Mikhail Zvezdinsky has behind him the only marriage with Nonna Gennadyevna and the son of Art (from "art"), whom everyone usually calls Artyom. This strong and happy union withstood all the ordeals of the spouse, which since 1979 (the year of Michael's acquaintance with Nonna) lasted a total of sixteen years. The famous singer compares his beloved woman with the wives of the Decembrists and is immensely grateful to her for her loyalty and steadfastness.
