Almost every person has to become the author of some texts in his life. Each text genre has its own specificity and structural features. They also have such a genre as an article. So, you are the author of the article. Where to begin? Everything is very simple.
It is necessary
- - Computer with Microsoft Word installed;
- - access to the Internet;
- - orthographic dictionary;
- - morphological dictionary.
Instructions
Step 1
You need to start by collecting information. Sources of information can be different. Personal life experience is also a source of information. But if you think that it is not enough, start collecting the necessary information. Yahoo, Yandex, Rambler, Google - these and other Internet search engines will give you links to articles of people who have studied your problem well. Copy the material and paste it directly into the Word document. It can even be printed if you are used to reading paper versions of documents.
Step 2
There are many forums on the Internet where people share information relevant to them. By looking at the list of existing topics or creating your own, you can get an idea of the issue that interests you. People will be happy to reply to you in the topic or write a private message.
Step 3
Another irreplaceable, traditional source of information is city libraries. If you have not signed up there yet, it is worth doing it. There is always a specialist in the catalog hall who will help you find the publications you need in the catalog and fill out the application form. Every library now has a copier and a scanner, it is not necessary to rewrite a book by hand, this method is already becoming outdated, although, according to experts, note-taking allows you to assimilate more information than just reading or, moreover, copying.
Step 4
The next stage is the processing of the information received. After reading everything that your predecessors wrote, do not just choose the main thing, but also form your own opinion. An author who does not have his own position will not be of interest to the reader. It is not necessary that your position is fundamentally different from other researchers of the problem, you can agree with someone, and disprove someone.
Step 5
Come up with a topic for the article, which will be reflected in its title. The title should be short and clear. Long titles, as well as titles containing highly specialized terms, only repel readers. For this, it is recommended to write first a dozen verb combinations on the topic of the article, and then see which of them reflects the topic in the best way.
Step 6
Make an outline for your article. It can be short, thesis, or detailed, including key figures and facts. Choose the type of plan that seems most convenient to you.
Step 7
Well, now, in fact, the text. Do not rush, smoothly move from one point of the plan to another, consistently setting out the course of your thoughts. After the article is ready, re-read it several times. The first reading will help you eliminate substantive flaws, the second - eliminate stylistic errors.
Step 8
If there is a competent “connoisseur” nearby, show him your composition - all roughness and irregularities are better visible from the side. Do not be offended by fair criticism, it will help you.
