At the time of birth, the girl's parents were not officially married; her father, a professional writer and journalist, had a different family. Grunya's mother worked as a director, so the girl from a very young age lived in a creative atmosphere. We can say that her fate was predetermined - the future writer created her first works in childhood.
Agrippina studied averagely, although foreign languages, especially German and French, were easy for her. After graduating from school, the girl entered the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University. After completing her studies, she worked as a translator at the Syrian consulate, publications in magazines and newspapers. After the success of the first novel, he is exclusively engaged in writing.

Creative way
The first story of the future writer was published in the magazine "Youth" and did not bring fame. Success came when Daria tried herself in a new genre - an ironic detective story. Dontsova began writing funny and very confusing stories when she was in the hospital with breast cancer. The doctors' predictions were contradictory, but Daria managed to completely cope with the disease, having survived the operation and several cycles of chemotherapy.
The novel "Cool heirs" was published by the publishing house "Eksmo", having previously signed an agreement with the author, regulating the number of books to be written during the year. The aspiring writer fully justified her hopes - more than 100 detective stories came out from under her pen, the total circulation exceeded 230 million copies. Daria Dontsova is considered the most prolific author, with each new novel becoming a bestseller. Based on detective stories, television series were filmed, which also found their fans. Dontsova was awarded several awards: she became the "Writer of the Year" three times, twice received an award from the "Book Review" newspaper, and was nominated for the "Book of the Year". For her personal contribution to literature she received the Order of Peter the Great, 1st degree.
Opinions about Dontsova's work are quite contradictory. She has a huge army of fans who enthusiastically accept every new product. However, some critics are sure that Dontsova writes her works with the participation of a whole team of "literary blacks". This is what allows the prolific writer to publish 1 novel a month for several years. Not too original plots, repetitions and numerous inconsistencies in the plots are also criticized.
In addition to ironic detectives, Dontsova published her autobiography "Notes of a Mad Optimist" and a cookbook with her favorite recipes. Another autobiography entitled “I really want to live. Personal Experience”is dedicated to the fight against cancer.
