Childhood and adolescence
She was born on August 5, 1968 in the family of a French politician who adheres to the nationalist views Jar-Marie Le Pen and his first wife Pierrette Lalan. When the youngest daughter, Marin, was 4 years old, her father organized the far-right National Front party.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Pantheon-Assas and received the education of a civil and criminal lawyer for 6 years, after graduation she worked as a lawyer. The student years were problematic, because of the reputation of his father, who was already a prominent extreme right-wing politician. Marin was harassed by students, isolated and the subject of ridicule, because of her father's views, which were unacceptable to the French public at that time, were considered a strange relic and openly condemned, which was a problem for the entire Le Pen family. However, this did not prevent the future politician from graduating with honors and only tempered her character. According to the assurances of her entourage, she was always a calm and restrained child, and even when she was lost while walking with her sisters at the age of 5, she retained her composure.
Political career
Her political career began at the age of 18, when in 1986 she joined her father's party, the National Front. She was at the head of the "National Front" in January 2011, having overcome a long way, including the position of executive vice president of the party (since 2003), deputy of the European Parliament (since 2004), was a member of the municipal council of Henin-Beaumont (since 2008), as well as a member of the regional council of Nord-Pas-de-Calais (since 2010). Having replaced her father as party leader, in 2012 she was nominated for the presidency of France. Speaking for a multipolar world, France's withdrawal from NATO, condemning the military campaigns in Libya and urging to take the vector for deepening cooperation with Russia, earned 17.9% of voters in the first round, which brought it to the top three.
The next elections in 2017 for Le Pen were even more successful, however, having won in the first round, but not gaining an absolute majority, in the second round she lost to Emmanuel Macron (her 21.4% of the vote, against his 33.9%). Since June 18, 2017 he has been a member of the 11th arrondissement of the Pas-de-Calais department.
Personal life
Marie does not really advertise her relationship in public, dividing public and private life. He currently lives in a de facto marriage with Louis Alio (vice-president of the National Front). She has three children from her first marriage, she is the mother of Jeanne (born in 1998) and twins Louis and Matilda (born in 1999). Her relationship with her second husband did not work out and the marriage fell apart pretty quickly.
Her relationship with her father did not develop over the years. After her daughter headed the party, Jean-Marie did not like the fact that Marin, seeking to expand the party's influence, went on to collaborate with former opponents, calling it "compromises." Differences in views on the party's policy led to the fact that the daughter initiated the expulsion of her father from the party, and then announced a complete break in relations with the parent.
In 2017, on the eve of the elections, the film "Chez nous" was released, which told about the pressing problems of France. The film tells the story of a nurse who helped the elderly, but was drawn into the political turmoil and began to deal with the affairs of a far-right political party. Based on the many problems of French society, the film indirectly showed how the National Front works and how the French perceive it.
