If you were not born in Kyrgyzstan, which is one of the grounds for issuing citizenship, contact the embassy of the republic with a petition for issuing citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic. The general procedure is as follows: you can obtain citizenship if at the time of application you have lived continuously in the territory of the republic for the last 5 years. The term is considered continuous if you left the territory of the republic for no more than 3 months in one year.

Also remember that you must know the state language of the republic at a level sufficient for free communication. Specify the exact procedure for determining this level at the embassy itself. Consider also that the required period of residence in the republic can be reduced to three years, based on the fulfillment of certain conditions. For example, if you are married to a person who is a citizen of Kyrgyzstan. Either you have high achievements in the field of culture, science, technology, as well as a qualification or profession that is in demand in Kyrgyzstan. You can count on a reduction in the term even if you are investing in priority sectors of the Kyrgyz economy. The procedure for investment, including the amount of investment, must be approved by the embassy. Another condition for changing the term is the recognition of a citizen as a refugee in accordance with the laws of Kyrgyzstan.

If you have at least one of the parents who is a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, or you were born in Kyrgyzstan during the existence of the USSR and were a citizen of it, or you are restoring the citizenship of the republic, apply to the embassy in a simplified manner. In this case, the period of stay can be reduced to one year.

Also remember that when submitting documents to determine the citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic, that is, to establish the fact of belonging to it, you must pay a consular fee of $ 30.
