- Persons under 18:

Instructions
Step 1
An application for the acquisition of Russian citizenship is submitted personally by an applicant who has reached the age of 18. If a child receives citizenship, the application is submitted by his parents or legal representatives. The application must be made in Russian in two copies.
Step 2

Step 3
After submitting all the documents, the application is considered and a decision is made on the acquisition of Russian citizenship. Step 4
In a simplified manner, citizenship of the Russian Federation can be obtained by adults (over 18 years of age) if they: 1. Have at least one parent who is a citizen of the Russian Federation residing in the territory of the Russian Federation;
2. Have citizenship of the USSR, live in countries that were part of the USSR and are stateless persons;
3. Have the citizenship of the countries that were part of the USSR, and studied in the Russian Federation (they have mastered the full educational program).
Step 5
In a simplified manner, children (under 18) receive Russian citizenship if: 1. One of the parents has Russian citizenship (at the request of this parent and with the consent of the other parent, when the child lives in the Russian Federation, the consent of the second parent is not required);
2. The only parent has Russian citizenship (at the request of this parent);
3. The child (incapacitated person) is under guardianship / guardianship (at the request of the guardian / curator).
Step 6
The application can be rejected if the applicant: 1. Poses a threat to the security of the Russian Federation;
2. Five years before the day of filing the application, he was expelled from the Russian Federation;
3. Submitted false documents or false information;
4. Has an unexpunged criminal record on the territory of the Russian Federation or abroad;
5. Persecuted in a criminal order by the relevant authorities of the Russian Federation;
6. Serves a sentence of imprisonment (until the expiration of the sentence).
