Childhood and youth
Ansel Elgort was born on March 14, 1994 in the largest US city - New York. The boy was not the only child in the family. He has an older sister and brother. Ansel's parents are people of creative professions. The boy's father is a fairly successful photographer for a glossy publication, and his mother works as an opera director.
Since childhood, Ansel has tried in every possible way to make a versatile creative person. When the boy was 9 years old, his parents sent him to a ballet school, but he didn't like it much. You could even say that he hated dancing. Then the young man was sent for acting education, first to the acting school, and then to the art school named after the famous politician (formerly the mayor of New York) Fiorello La Guardia. At this school, he made his stage debut in one of the performances. Gradually, the young man was imbued with love for the acting craft and firmly decided that he would be an actor. Confidence in this was reinforced by watching a number of musicals, such as "42nd Street" and "Oklahoma!".
Film work
For the first time on the big screens, Elgort appeared in the film "Carrie", which was released in 2013. The actor got a cameo role, so then he was not particularly remembered by the audience. But colleagues in the shop noticed him.
And a year later, he gets one of the central roles in the rating film saga "Divergent". Working in this film brings him much more popularity. But Ansel becomes truly famous thanks to the leading role in the film "The Fault in Our Stars".

Personal life
The personal life of a young man is quite transparent. He does not hide from anyone that in 2012 he fell in love with his classmate Violetta Komyshan. Love from school did not last long. Just two years later, the couple broke up. Most likely, the reason for this was the busy work schedule of the actor, who practically did not leave time for his personal life.
However, nothing will drown out the real feelings of two loving hearts. Already six months after the moment of separation, they met again and continue to meet to this day.
