After school, Katherine entered the famous University of Alabama to get a decent education. The future writer learned the secrets of journalism and marketing. It did not occur to her to ask for money for a living from one of the parents. Energetic by nature and with a tenacious intellect, Stokett accurately articulated her goals. After completing her studies, she moved to New York. This city is always full of work and it is much easier to make a career than anywhere on the periphery.
Catherine, as a graduate, easily found a job on the editorial board of a small magazine. Was engaged in the collection and placement of advertising materials. She wrote reviews, articles and comments. In short, she was engaged in current editorial affairs. There was very little time left for serious creativity. I had to think about my personal life. It so happened that Stokett wrote her first novel for over five years.
