Biography
Margera Bam was born in West Chester, a town in the US state of Pennsylvania. Since childhood, he adored risky dynamic games, and his grandfather gave the restless child the nickname "Bam" - it was with such a sound that the future stuntman crashed into all obstacles - doors, walls, furniture, but did not abandon attempts to break them once.
Brandon disliked school, where you had to sit at a desk and study, and attended it only because of his friendship with a black guy Chris Raab, who later also became a TV star. When Chris was expelled from school, Bam also dropped out of education and came to grips with what he loved - risky skateboarding stunts.
Together with his friends and even some relatives, Brandon began filming videos about his hobby, which then resulted in a whole series of CKY - a large number of videos featuring the youth of West Chester. This project turned out to be very successful commercially - friends have sold over four hundred thousand copies.
Career
After the success of Bam's videos, he was spotted by Jeff Tremaine, former editor-in-chief of a skateboarding and youth street subculture magazine. In 2000, he invited a talented guy to the team for the filming of the realistic comedy "Freaks", the slogan of which warned the audience: "Do not try to repeat it yourself!"
Since 2001, Bam was offered sponsorship by Element, and the stuntman became a member of the famous demo Team Element, working with this firm until 2016. However, Margera almost never had permanent sponsors, at various times he entered into contracts with various companies producing sports accessories.
Bam and Ryan Dunn, an American stuntman, became the basis of the cast of the film, in which there are many funny and ridiculous stunts, practical jokes and experiments that can really be deadly for an untrained person. After the first picture, several more parts of "Freaks" followed.
In 2003, Brandon starred in the skateboarding movie Grind, playing himself. As a result, it turned into the real show Viva la Bam, which became very popular on American television. Bam, along with his team, performed a variety of stunts and tasks in many American cities.
Margera has produced, written and starred in three independent films, as well as acted in several feature films and directed the 2003 comedy "Haggard," dedicated to the life of Ryan Dunn. In 2008, the continuation of the picture was released. Since 2004, Brandon has created his own Radio Bam, has taken part in the music videos of many stars, played football with a team of rockers from Bon Jovi, and became a character in a computer sports game. In the spring of 2018, wrestling star Hulk Hogan "buried" the famous skateboarder on his Twitter account, for which he received a fair amount of rage from fans of Bam. The stuntman is still alive and full of plans for the future, although, of course, in recent years, he has been playing less and less sports.
Personal life
Bam's first choice was Jenn Rivell, a woman six years his senior. But the matter did not go beyond the engagement, and in 2005 the couple broke up due to rumors about Margera's betrayal. Missy Rothstein became the wife of the famous skateboarder in 2007, but this family did not last long - only until 2012.
