Ideology consists of two Greek words - idea (idea) and logos (teaching). From the point of view of industrial culture, ideology is the comprehension of a political or other social structure. Ideology is a system of views, ideas and concepts. This system generalizes the attitude of people to the world around them, to reality and to each other.
In a broader context, the concept of ideology can be seen as certain views held by a person or group of people. It could even be a whole country or a coalition. Ideology is not always imposed from outside, but it always comes into contact with power. It can be free and voluntary, giving a person the opportunity to choose. For each of the people, ideology is a personal opinion. Sometimes the views or goals of several people may coincide. In this case, ideology becomes public. Due to the lack of any ideology, people have nowhere to strive. Ideology disciplines, fosters a sense of duty and patriotism. Including social problems and social goals aimed at consolidating or changing social relations of a certain type, ideology becomes a real tool in the hands of a political leader. First of all, ideology is a class system, since it protects the interests of a particular class. Ideology is divided into two types: the ideology of the exploiting class (bourgeoisie, monarchs) and the ideology of the exploited class (the working class, part of the intelligentsia). The first type, based on the desire to profit from other people, justifies the owners of big capital, despite the fact that it formally maintains equality of all people on the planet. Such an ideology, if it prevails in society, makes society itself subordinate to the interests of those who have fixed capital. The ideology of the exploiting class exacerbates conflicts and creates disunity between people, making them mutual competitors. Such an ideology contributes to the development of an aggressive attitude towards society in a particular person. The second type of ideology is based on the desire of the society itself to significantly improve human life. Opposing exploitation and the pursuit of profit, public opinion is based on humanism, mutual assistance, and a good attitude towards nature and people. Such an ideology in our time, alas, is more like science fiction.
