He is called the unique "soul of rock music", one of the most influential and great - and all thanks to the fact that he was always free and did not depend on circumstances.

Biography

Paul Rogers was born in the English town of Middlesboro in 1949. From an early age he learned to play the guitar, sing, play the piano and compose a little. His musical preferences included blues, rock and other directions - in which he boldly experimented.

From a young age, Paul was distinguished by one quality: if he set a goal, then he certainly achieved it. And if no one supported him in this, then he acted alone.

For example, when from Middlesboro he decided to go to London, he got there one of the entire set off. He moved among bluesmen of all stripes, quickly got his bearings and understood what to do. He joined the group FREE, which by 1970 already had three records and the immortal hit "All Right Now", which is still being listened to.

In addition, Free were indispensable participants in all music festivals in their country, and were as popular as Led Zeppelin. Although the manner of their performance was completely different.

In those glorious days, Paul was invited to other bands, because things for FREE got worse over time - everything fell apart. However, he chose to form his own group, which was named BAD COMPANY. The group was a resounding success, everything was fine, and then Paul acts in his own manner: he goes nowhere to get the desired freedom. Occasionally they did projects together, but most of the time Rogers acted alone.

Those years were very eventful for him - recording albums, tours, charity events, musical projects with famous musicians, concerts.

In 2004 he was a partner of Queen, and considered it a good "adventure". They successfully toured, performing songs by Mercury and Rogers, recorded a disc, and then Paul simply left, saying that he did not mind working together later. Once again, Rogers found himself among friends from BAD COMPANY on tour. And again everyone knew that at any moment he could leave if he conceived a new project.

And today they speak of him as the most freedom-loving and independent of musicians, who does not strive for fame and does not trade his face - he simply sings.

Personal life

Paul Rogers has been married twice: the first time to the Japanese actress Machiko Shimizu. They lived together for twenty-five years. They say he was a good husband.

The second time Paul married in 2007 was the fitness trainer Cynthia Michelle Kereluk. The ceremony took place outdoors in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia.
