An ordinary TV viewer perceives everything that happens on the field through the figure of a sports commentator, and the emotions of sports fans depend on his ability to “hold” the audience, knowledge and voice. One of the best in this business is Oleg Pirozhkov, a well-known journalist and sports commentator.
Biography
Oleg was born in a wonderful and ancient Russian city, founded in the 11th century - in Yaroslavl. It happened in December 1975. From early childhood, the restless and active child was in love with football, he didn't care who played, he just wanted to see it.
After completing his secondary education at school, Pirozhkov entered the Yaroslavl university to be educated as a political scientist. By the way, he ran away from the school prom, having barely endured the "official part" - the football match of the First League began on TV, which was commented on by the famous Gennady Orlov.
The future commentator never dreamed of a career as an athlete, he liked to watch, compare, talk about his favorite football to friends and family. Oleg also received a second higher education - legal. From 1996 to 2001, he worked exclusively in newspapers, doing his favorite journalism. But Oleg always wanted more.
Career
In November 2005, NTV held a competition for sports commentators, and Pirozhkov realized that this was his chance. He took part in the competition, became a prize-winner and received an invitation to work on the staff of the popular NTV-Plus TV company. He moved to Moscow closer to the new year in order to have time to get used to it before the start of the main matches of the championships. Moreover, Pirozhkov quickly earned a reputation as a broad-based commentator - he perfectly covered not only all kinds of football, but also youth and later adult hockey matches.
Colleagues admit that Oleg Pirozhkov has just phenomenal knowledge of the history of football and he knows how to use this in his reports. From 2009 until leaving NTV in 2013, the commentator took part in the author's radio program Football Club as an expert.
In the fall of 2013, rumors spread in the press that Pirozhkov would soon leave the NTV-Plus company, and the reason for this was the scandal with the editor-in-chief Utkin. Moreover, the latter refused to discuss the details of the conflict, while Pirozhkov himself gave a detailed interview about this to the notorious Dudu.
In the spring of 2014, Pirozhkov got a job at Sport FM, replacing Arustamyan in sports programs, then worked as a journalist at Sport-Express for two years, and since 2017 he became a sports commentator for the capital's sports TV channel Match-TV.
Personal life
Oleg married at a mature age his fan, who was ten years younger than him. Unfortunately, four years later, this marriage broke up, and Oleg was left alone. The Pirozhkovs' husband and wife never had children.
The commentator adores his native Yaroslavl and dreams of one day staying in this, in his opinion, the most beautiful city in the world, where he spent 30 years of his life. Pirozhkov is happy to communicate with his fans on Twitter, where he jokes about everything in the world and, of course, comments on all football matches.
