Biography
Divya was born in Bombay (now Mumbai), the capital of the state of Maharashtra, in February 1974. Her father, Oma Prakasha Bharti, brought a daughter from his first marriage to the family, and Divya's mother, Mita, bore him two more children.
The girl was educated at Cooper High School, but in the ninth grade (it was 1988) she was offered a job in cinema with the famous Mithun Chakraborty, and she dropped out. Unfortunately, filming failed - the character Divya was supposed to portray was excluded from the script. The next attempt was also unsuccessful - Bharti was offered another job, but at the last moment was replaced by another actress.

Personal life and death
On the set of the Dew and Flame drama, Divya met her future husband, Bollywood producer Sajid Nadialwala, who is 8 years older than her. The actress was barely eighteen, but it was love at first sight. Without hesitation for a long time, the lovers got married. Divya converted to Islam from Hinduism for the sake of her husband and changed her name to Sana Nadiadwala, and after her death, he devoted his works only to her for many years.
In early April 1993, Divya died tragically. Moreover, it is still unclear whether this was an accident, or the young star committed suicide - the circumstances of her death seem too strange.
She was in an apartment in Tunisia that they rented with her husband. It was an apartment on the fifth floor.
