Childhood
The future star was born in French Lorraine in 1966. Father Joseph was a miner, mother Irmgard was raising five sons and two daughters. Patricia was the youngest. Carier start
The girl began to sing early, mostly hits by Mireille Mathieu and Liza Minnelli. The schoolgirl quickly became independent. Performing in a musical group, at the age of 9 she earned her first money. Four years later, the first contract with a famous club was signed. The work of a sixteen-year-old girl in a modeling agency brought in decent fees and allowed her to support the whole family.
After the fateful meeting of 19-year-old Patricia with the architect Bernard Schwartz, she moved to Paris. Gerard Depardieu became the first producer of the aspiring singer. The actor introduced the girl to the poet Francois Bernheim and helped to release the single "Jealous". The song was expected to fail, but Kaas did not give up.
First successes
Her new work with Didier Barbelivienne "Mademoiselle sings the blues" in 1987 immediately took the 14th position in the French charts and made the singer famous. Soon the album of the same name was released, which was recognized in France as "platinum". It has a circulation of 3 million worldwide.
