"Don't have a hundred rubles, but have a hundred friends!" - this proverb was formed in ancient times, when one hundred rubles was a very decent amount. She emphasized the value, the importance of real friendship. Although, of course, such a friendship cannot be bought for any, even the greatest, money.

What are friends for?
What are friends for?

About the same was sung in an old good song, where the boy claimed that he would go out to the bear without fear if he was with a friend himself, and the bear would not. Let's forgive the author of the text for a fair amount of artistic exaggeration, because the meaning is correct and understandable: a friend is a person you can rely on even in a dangerous situation.

Anything happens in life. Sometimes even the bravest, smartest, strongest person cannot cope with the impending danger alone. And then friends come to his aid. Together, it is easier to overcome any trouble, to ward off the emerging threat.

And in everyday life, you can't do without friends. Whatever it was about: to discuss a question, plan a job, consult where and how to spend your vacation, talk about your favorite football team, finally, organize a hike, a picnic in nature. Man is so constructed that he cannot do without society. He needs to communicate with other people. So how much better it is if there are friends among them.

Anyone sooner or later faces personal grief, for example, the death or serious illness of a loved one. In such a situation, the delicate, unobtrusive help of friends will be not only necessary, but simply irreplaceable. After all, even the most strong-willed, courageous person, crushed by grief, can simply get confused, not knowing what to do.

In the end, it's just easier to live knowing that there are people to whom you can turn for help, and they will provide it to you. Not grumbling or indignant that they were disturbed. Not counting not only on any reward, but also on words of gratitude. Simply because it is the most common and natural thing for them. Because the possibility of another behavior, or the thought: "What benefit will I get from this?" would not even occur to them. After all, they are friends, and the word "friendship" for them is not an empty phrase.

Therefore, cherish your friends. And do the same for them.
