From the biography of Sergei Nikolaevich Silvestrov
The future scientist and statesman of Russia was born in Ussuriisk on April 1, 1948. Sergei Nikolayevich received his education at Moscow State University: in 1972 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Economics of the university, and then graduate school.
Subsequently, Silvestrov improved his qualifications at the Economic University of Budapest, at the German Academy of Civil Servants, the European Institute of Social Relations and Labor, as well as the Higher Normal School of France and at the national Academy of National Economy.

Sergey Nikolayevich worked in the CMEA structures, in the International Center for Social and Labor Problems, in the financial and industrial group "Interros" and in the oil and gas sector company "Itera". Silvestrov also had a chance to work in the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and in the Federation Council.
The scientist has a wide experience in teaching and research at the Institute of Economic and Political Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Social Sciences.
Silvestrov is a professor at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Moscow State University. He is a member of the dissertation and academic councils of several reputable universities.
