The budget of a modern film always includes funds for a wide advertising campaign. A good advertising campaign includes print ads, posters and, of course, internet and video ads. Any film can be found on specialized cinema sites to find out what actors are playing there, how much budget was spent on filming, to look at stills from the film, or to get acquainted with a future soundtrack.

Why do you need a teaser?

To whet the audience's attention, the filmmakers are releasing a teaser. Such a video is edited before the end of the filming period of the film, so only available material is used in it. If the film has just started shooting, the teaser may show several frames, sketches and a list of actors. Usually a teaser lasts half a minute, the maximum length of a teaser cannot exceed a minute and twenty seconds. Sometimes the frames included in the teaser can be excluded from the picture itself during editing.

Several teasers may be released for one film to keep the viewer interested in a large-scale project. Very often, frames of teasers are accompanied not with dialogues and sound effects, but simply with atmospheric music. The very name "teaser" comes from the English verb to tease, that is, to tease. A good teaser inflames the viewer's imagination, makes him look forward to the release of the picture on the big screens, or at least the appearance of new, relevant information about the course of filming.

Why do you need a trailer?

The trailer is always edited from the material of the already shot film. Such a video partly opens the storyline, encouraging viewers to go to the cinema or buy a film on a physical medium. A good trailer can significantly influence the opinion of potential viewers. Such a video includes the brightest and most exciting scenes of the film; based on a good trailer, the viewer can conclude for himself whether it is advisable to watch the film.

Several trailers can be released for one picture, showing different characters or different events of the film. The word "trailer" comes from the English word for "trailer", as previously such videos were shown after the end of the movie show, in order to reduce the crowd at the exit from the hall. Despite the fact that trailers are currently shown before the screening of the film, this name has become firmly established. The duration of the trailer can be up to two to three minutes.
