Biography and filmography

Alexey Serebryakov was born in 1964 in Moscow. His childhood was unremarkable until the age of 13, when one of the photographs of the future actor with a button accordion in his hands accidentally fell into the hands of Moscow directors. The boy was appointed to the lead role in the film "Father and Son". After that, he immediately starred in the multi-part project "Eternal Call". Alexei's attempt to study to become an actor after leaving school failed. Nevertheless, he was offered to work at the Syzran theater.

In 1984, Serebryakov managed to enter the coveted GITIS, as well as undergo training in the studio of Oleg Tabakov. After that, his professional acting career began. The filmography of Alexei Serebryakov was replenished every year. He was perfectly given the role of courageous and decisive men, as well as the military in such films as "Fan", "Afghan breakdown", "Capital measure" and others. In the early 2000s, he brilliantly played the role of a lawyer in the popular television series "Gangster Petersburg"

Serebryakov became very popular and later starred in the films "Penal Battalion", "9th Company", "Children of Vanyukhin" and even in a fantastic genre unusual for Russian cinema, playing one of the significant roles in the film "Inhabited Island". Some time after that, the actor was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia. However, in 2012, Alexei decided to emigrate to Canada, which did not affect his further career: Serebryakov periodically travels to his native country for filming.

Another wave of popularity overtook the already mature actor in 2014 after the main role in the acclaimed film by Andrey Zvyagintsev "Leviathan". The film received international recognition. A year later, he starred in the series "Method", and a little later - in the multi-part project "Doctor Richter", which turned out to be unsuccessful for him. However, already in 2017, Serebryakov restored the confidence of the audience with roles in such movie hits as "The Legend of Kolovrat" and "How Vitka Garlic Carried Lech Shtyr to the Home for Invalids."

Personal life

Alexey Serebryakov is happily married to his first and only wife Maria. Their relationship began to develop back in 1980, but after a while they broke up, and Maria even married another man. And yet, in the 90s, she chose to divorce and married Alexei. Serebryakov has no children of his own: he is raising his wife's daughter from his first marriage, Daria, as well as two adopted children, Stepan and Danila.

In 2018, Alexei Serebryakov gave a frank interview to the popular video blogger Yuri Dudyu, in which he criticized Russian reality. The actor said that he was ashamed of his native country, its laws and foundations, openly wishing for a normal future for himself and his children. The correctness of such a statement has caused a lot of controversy among Russian residents. And yet Serebryakov still remains a welcome guest and a sought-after actor in Russia.
