Alexander Anatolyevich Shirvindt. Born on July 19, 1934 in Moscow. Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, theater director and screenwriter. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1989).
Biography
Alexander Shirvindt was born in Moscow on July 19, 1934 in the family of the violinist, music teacher Anatoly Gustavovich (Theodor Gdalevich) Shirvindt (1896, Odessa - 1961, Moscow) and the editor of the Moscow Philharmonic Raisa Samoilovna Shirvindt (nee Kobylivker; 1896), Odessa - 1985 … My father played in the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater, then taught at the A. A. Yaroshevsky Musical College; grandfather, Gustav (Gdalya) Moiseevich Shirvindt (a graduate of the Vilna 1st gymnasium in 1881), was a doctor.
In 1956 he graduated from the Theater School. B. V. Schukin (course of Vera Konstantinovna Lvova) and was accepted into the troupe of the Theater-Studio of the film actor. In the same year he played his first role in a movie - pop singer Vadim Stepanovich Ukhov in the film "She Loves You!" (directed by Semyon Derevyansky and Rafail Suslovich).
In 1957 he was admitted to the troupe of the theater. Lenin Komsomol and enrolled in the staff of the film studio "Mosfilm".
In 1968-1970 he was an artist of the Moscow Drama Theater on Malaya Bronnaya.
Since March 1970 he has been an actor at the Moscow Academic Theater of Satire.
Since 2000 - artistic director of the Moscow Academic Theater of Satire.
Since 1957 - teaches at the Shchukin Higher Theater School (since 1995 - professor).
