Alexey Serebryakov is a Russian actor currently based in Canada. Despite his acting talent and many successfully played roles, he was never able to come to terms with the Russian reality and chose to immigrate to another country.
Biography
Alexey Serebryakov was born in the Russian capital in 1964. He grew up as an ordinary child, but his parents dreamed that his son would achieve real success, and sent his photos to various studios. When Alexei was 13, he was nevertheless noticed by Moscow directors and invited to star in the film "Father and Son". Immediately after that, the talented young man played in the series "Eternal Call". It is interesting that Serebryakov at first failed to get admission to an acting university and temporarily worked at the Syzran theater.
In the mid-80s, Alexei Serebryakov still managed to enter the Moscow GITIS and studied at the famous "Snuffbox", which opened the way for him to the world of cinema. He showed himself well in the roles of the military, having played in the films "Capital Measure", "Afghan Breakdown" and others. No less successful was the role of a lawyer in the TV series "Gangster Petersburg", which hit television in the early 2000s. The actor continued his career in the projects "9th Company" and "Penal Battalion", as well as the fantastic film "Inhabited Island".
For his contribution to the development of Russian culture, Serebryakov was awarded the title of People's Artist of the country. And yet, in 2012, he decided to emigrate to Canada, speaking out against the Russian political regime and the moods in society that he did not like. Life in another country did not affect the actor's career path: he often comes to Russia for the next shooting.
In 2014, the name of Alexei Serebryakov again became a household name. He played a key role in the scandalous film directed by Andrei Zvyagintsev, which was called "Leviathan". The project has received international recognition and several awards. In addition, Serebryakov starred in the popular TV series Method and Doctor Richter, the historical epic The Legend of Kolovrat. The last well-known film project with the participation of the actor was "How Vitka Garlic Carried Leha Shtyr to the Home for Invalids."
Personal life
Actor Alexei Serebryakov was married only once and is still married to his beloved wife Maria. They met in the 80s and did not dare to get married for a long time: financial difficulties affected. Alexei was not yet a sought-after actor, which made it difficult to arrange life in Moscow. Without waiting, Maria entered into a marriage with another chosen one.
Alexei did not accept the loss and after a while resumed courting his beloved woman. As a result, she melted and returned to Serebryakov. The lovers played a modest wedding. They never had their own children, but they adopted foster children: Danila and Stepan. Also in the family lives the daughter of Maria from his first marriage, to whom Alexei treats as his own.
