For more than ten years Alena Stanislavovna Doletskaya served as editor-in-chief of a creative magazine published in Russian. Over the past period, "Vogue" has become the most authoritative fashion magazine in the Russian Federation and many CIS countries. And this is just one episode in the creative biography of a journalist, stylist and businesswoman.
The future journalist was born on January 10, 1955 in an intelligent Soviet family. Parents lived in Moscow. Father, a renowned pediatric surgeon, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and a member of the British Association of Pediatric Surgeons. Mother - Doctor of Medical Sciences, oncologist surgeon. It is not at all surprising that Alena after school wanted to follow in the footsteps of her parents and go to medical school. However, after long conversations with older relatives and friends, she changed her mind and became a student of the philological faculty at Moscow State University.
Professional activity
Alena studied well, without making any special efforts. She was remembered by her classmates and teachers for her manner of dressing. She was most often seen wearing jeans, a man's shirt, and cut-off gloves. After receiving her diploma, Doletskaya remained in teaching, while at the same time translating English writers into Russian. In the early 90s, when the country's economy was moving on a market track, Alena was invited to the position of a public relations specialist at the De Beers company, which is engaged in the production of diamonds.
Then Doletskaya worked for several years in one of the leading television companies in Great Britain. Then she broadcast on the BBC radio station. A year after leaving Vogue, she was invited as creative director to the Russian magazine Interview. The magazine was published simultaneously in Russia and Germany in German. At the same time, starting in 2012, Alena began to work closely with the Dozhd TV channel. For many years she hosted the author's program "Evening with Doletskaya".
Projects and personal life
Alena Doletskaya's personal life cannot be called stable. She only once officially married the Soviet diplomat Boris Asoyan. But family life ended in tragedy - the husband committed suicide. The reasons for the suicide were not disclosed. Of course, the charming and attractive woman had, is and will have men, but for now she lives alone.
Currently, Doletskaya is promoting a Russian-language magazine about cosmetics and perfumery.
