The success that Chistyakov had with the audience was considered phenomenal. In his creative life, the innate skills of choreography, natural plasticity, an amazing sense of humor and the ability to behave on stage freely and relaxed were very useful to him, which other Soviet artists could very rarely boast of. His performance was amazing, for four years Victor held more than a thousand concerts in the most prestigious halls in the country.
Childhood and education of the artist
Victor was born into an ordinary Soviet family. Little Viti had two more sisters. At an early age, when Victor was only three years old, his parents noticed how he masterly imitates the ballet dancers from Swan Lake. Parents decided to develop their son's talent, and therefore sent him to a choreographic school. Alas, when Victor was in the seventh grade, he developed health problems, and his father insisted that his son leave choreography classes. Then there was a music school and a clarinet, and later, in 1962, Victor became a student of the acting department of LGITMiK.
The skills and natural talent of the actor received their powerful development within the walls of the acting department. Victor entered an experimental course in which students were taught to imitate the intonation of animals and birds. The teachers put special emphasis on facial expressions and gestures. Despite the fact that Chistyakov was a student of the drama course, the heroes of his parodies were the environment - friends, teachers, fellow students. Victor regularly took part in concert events. At such concerts, he showed his ability to parody the vocals of famous singers such as Sergei Lemeshev and Ivan Kozlovsky.
As a graduation work, Chistyakov played the role of the King from "An Ordinary Miracle".
Theatrical career of Viktor Chistyakov
Chistyakov, immediately after graduating from the institute in 1966, was invited to work at the Komissarzhevskaya Theater. For the first time he appeared on the professional stage in the play "The Prince and the Pauper". However, despite the talent, the roles of the young actor were not pampered at all, as were his colleagues in misfortune Ilya Reznik and Stanislav Landgraf, with whom he made friends in the theater. They actively "lit" on theatrical skits. Later, having learned about Victor's talent to parody, friends began to write parodies for him. The collected material allowed Victor to start a pop career. The theater had to be abandoned due to the impossibility of self-realization.
He did not look like a typical Soviet citizen. His sophisticated image did not fit the "communist" nature. The actor felt a bit out of place at the Leningrad Drama Theater. He strove to conquer other scenes. He even had an attempt to get a job at the Moscow Theater on Taganka. However, he was refused, because Chistyakov asked to be admitted there together with his wife. Despite the fact that he was always afraid of being left without a theater, he had to do it.
The demand for Viktor Chistyakov's talent appeared on television. The start of the pop artist began in 1968, and continued until his death. When the celebrity Chistyakov acquired an all-Union scale, he was allocated a two-room apartment in Leningrad. It was a prestigious house on Vasilievsky Island.
