Every citizen of Russia has the right to receive a pension after reaching a certain age. While still young, you must register with the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation and obtain an insurance certificate of compulsory pension insurance (SNIPS).

In order for the Pension Fund to receive pension contributions, you must register and receive a personal account number, which consists of 11 numbers.

In the event that you are finding a job for the first time and have not previously been registered with the territorial authority, your employer is obliged to submit your documents to the Pension Fund within two weeks from the date of the conclusion of the employment contract to the Pension Fund to obtain SNILS. To do this, the policyholder fills out a questionnaire, where personal data (full name, address, passport data) are indicated.

After filling out this document, you must check the details and put your signature. If for any reason you are not able to verify the data, the policyholder must indicate this in the questionnaire and put a stamp, certifying it.

As a rule, the questionnaire is also submitted in electronic form (form ADV-1). It is accompanied by a list of documents to be transferred to the FIU (form ADV-6-1).

The employee of the pension fund, having accepted the documents, must, after 21 days, transfer the insurance certificates for the declared persons to the policyholder.

In the event that you want to obtain an insurance certificate of compulsory pension insurance on your own, contact the Pension Fund, which is located in the area of your residence. You must have a document proving your identity with you. An employee of the foundation will provide you with a questionnaire, which you will have to fill out by hand. After that, you will receive SNILS after 10 working days.

In the event that the pension certificate was lost by you, then you need to get a duplicate. To do this, also contact the territorial authority at the place of registration with a document proving your identity. If you remember the personal account number, then this is good, since the restoration of the document will be carried out rather quickly.
