Childhood and youth

Alexander Bashlachev was born in the city of Cherepovets on May 27, 1960. His father was a worker in the heat-power department, his mother worked as a chemistry teacher. In the family, Alexander's rum, the girl Lena was growing up. Parents devoted a lot of time to work, and the children were often left alone.

Sasha began to read quite early, at the age of 3 he composed his first poem. The boy did not study at a music school, he himself refused to study. As a child, Sasha became interested in journalism, he gladly supervised the process of collecting material for the school almanac, wrote poetry, helped classmates write articles. In high school, Bashlachev began to get involved in prose, he wrote a description of the everyday life of a ninth-grader, for which he was nicknamed the chronicler.

Creative activity

After leaving school, Alexander tried to enter the Leningrad University of Journalism, but unsuccessfully. He returned home and got a job as an artist at a metallurgical plant. During this period, his articles were published in the newspaper "Communist". In the evening, Bashlachev attended the school of a young journalist.

In 1978 Alexander was able to enter the University of Sverdlovsk. Studying was easy, he hardly attended lectures. During this period, Bashlachev wrote songs for the Rock-September group.

After graduating from university, Alexander continued to work for the Kommunist newspaper, but ideologically consistent articles did not bring creative satisfaction. In 1984 Bashlachev quit his job and went to Moscow.

In the capital, the poet visited Leonid Parfyonov, whom he knew. While visiting, Alexander met Artemy Troitsky, with whom he made friends. Later, there were impromptu concerts - "apartments", at which Bashlachev performed songs of his own composition. The notes spread throughout the Union and made Alexander famous.

On the big stage, Bashlachev first performed in Leningrad in 1985 together with Yuri Shevchuk. In the same year, Alexander moved to the northern capital and took an active part in the life of rock clubs. In 1987, Bashlachev was invited to participate in the filming of the film "Rock" (directed by Alexei Uchitel), but he refused.

At the rock festival for the song "Everything from the screw", Aleksandr received the "Hope" prize. The composition "Time of Bells" has also become famous. In 1988 Alexander left for Moscow to give several concerts. They all gathered a lot of spectators.

But being busy did not save the musician from depression. Bashlachev spent his last hours at the apartment of Evgenia Kametskaya, his first wife. On the morning of February 17, 1988, she was informed that Bashlachev had thrown himself out of the window. Friends and relatives confirmed that Alexander could have voluntarily passed away. For the last year, Bashlachev almost never got out of his creative crisis and suffered from loneliness, despite his sociability.

Personal life

Alexander has always had a lot of fans. During his student years, he often spent time with fellow students. Bashlachev liked slender girls with light brown hair. Those who knew Alexander claim that all his acquaintances resembled Nicole Kidman in his youth.
