The expression is known that nature rests on the children of geniuses, but this does not apply to Elena Bondarchuk, the daughter of the famous director Sergei Bondarchuk.
Elena Bondarchuk was born in 1962 in Moscow, in the family of Sergei Bondarchuk and actress Irina Skobtseva. The rest of her family is also "movie people": her younger brother Fyodor Bondarchuk and half-sister Natalya Bondarchuk.
When Lena was born, a dispute arose in the family about the name: her father wanted to call her Olesya, and the others insisted on Elena. And when the girl grew up, she began to demand that she be called Alena, so there is a difference in the sources mentioning her name.
As a child, Lena mainly lived with her grandmother, Yulia Nikolaevna Skobtseva, it was in her house that the future actress spent her childhood. The grandmother followed the success of her granddaughter, and had no doubt that she would become an artist - the makings were visible from early childhood.
Career in theater
Therefore, no one in the family was surprised when, after school, Alena entered the Moscow Art Theater School, in the workshop of the People's Artist Yevgeny Evstigneev. Largely thanks to this master of the performing arts, her studies were very interesting for her.
After graduating from the university, Bondarchuk entered the troupe of the theater. Pushkin, then moved to the Mossovet Theater.
In the late 90s, the acting fate brought Elena Bondarchuk to the Gorky Art Academic Theater, where she became a leading actress. Elena Sergeevna played in performances based on the works of Russian classics: in the plays "The Monk and the Imp", "All Yours Antosha Chekhonte" and others.
In 2003, Elena Bondarchuk moved to the private theater "Empire of Stars". It was a risky step, and many dissuaded the actress from him, but her fate in this theater was successful: the troupe went on foreign tours, and Elena Sergeevna performed even on Broadway.
Film career
In 1978, Elena made her film debut: she starred in the film "The Velvet Season" with her parents, then starred in episodes. Then the artist began to be invited to the main roles: the crime film "Paris Drama", the family saga "Time and the Conway Family", the historical and revolutionary film "Come Free", the film "Boris Godunov" jointly with foreign directors.
Much effort was devoted to the work on the film "Quiet Don", directed by Sergei Bondarchuk. And then Elena left the cinema for a long time, completely immersed in theatrical creativity.
At the beginning of the new century, viewers again saw their favorite actress in the cinema: the historical British film "Express St. Petersburg - Cannes", the dramatic thriller "Amber Wings", the melodrama "Poor Nastya" and others.
Elena Bondarchuk's last work was the Odnoklassniki melodrama, which came out after her death. Here she played the role of the mother of the main character Fedor - his role was played by the son of the actress Konstantin Kryukov.
Personal life
Elena Bondarchuk's first husband, Vitaly Kryukov, was a scientist and businessman. In this marriage, a son, Konstantin, was born, who became a sought-after actor, he is also engaged in art and jewelry.
Elena with her son and husband moved to Switzerland in the 90s, but could not live far from Russia, and began to insist on moving to Moscow. Vitaly did not agree, and Elena and her son left without him. The couple later divorced.
Elena Bondarchuk's second husband is director Yevgeny Morozov, who invited her to the Empire of Stars theater. As an impulsive person, he was not tactful with his wife, and often the spouses argued and quarreled violently. Therefore, they could not save this marriage either.
And then a tragedy struck in the Bondarchuk family: Elena was diagnosed with cancer, and the doctors could not help. In November 2009, she died and was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery, next to Sergei Bondarchuk.
