Elena Sergeevna Bondarchuk was born on July 31, 1962 in the Soviet Union, in the Moscow region in a family of famous and creative people. Father Sergei Fedorovich Bondarchuk, Ukrainian by birth, was a famous director and screenwriter of Soviet cinema. The mother of the actress, the beautiful Irina Konstantinovna Skobtseva, was an honored artist of theater and cinema. Elena spent all her childhood with her grandmother and saw her eminent stellar parents only occasionally. Despite this, the girl felt deep respect and great love for them.
Theater life
After graduating from school, the girl absolutely firmly decided to enter the acting department. In 1979 she became a student of the higher educational institution of theatrical art at the Moscow Art Theater. Thanks to her father, Elena began to act in films while still studying, but after receiving her education, she got a job at the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater.
After working on the stage of the "Pushkin" theater for four years, the young actress changed the team, joining the troupe of the State Academic Theater. Having played in several performances based on the works of famous Soviet and foreign writers, she becomes the brightest star on the theater stage, winning the hearts of millions of fans. Without leaving the stage, the sought-after actress continues to appear in films and TV series. In 1993, Elena Bondarchuk ceases her creative activity and, having left Russia, moves to live in Europe, in the Swiss city of Basel.

Personal life
The actress was married twice. Her first husband and father of her only child, son Konstantin, in the future a famous actor, was Doctor of Philosophy, scientist Vitaly Dmitrievich Kryukov. Having been married for almost twenty years, the couple divorced. In 2003, Elena got married for the second time, choosing a theatrical producer Yevgeny Morozov, who was close to her in spirit, as her husband. The actress lived with him for six happy years. On November 7, 2009, after a long-suffering illness, Elena Bondarchuk passed away.
