Matrona of Moscow was canonized in 1998. Since then, her relics have been in the Intercession Convent on Taganskaya Street in the capital. People come in an endless stream to worship the saint.
Instructions
Step 1
Remember that you are going to bow to the shrine, not perform the ritual. Believe in a miracle, but do not think that, having come to Matrona, you will automatically get rid of problems. Prepare yourself spiritually. Read the life of the blessed eldress Matrona, find prayers to her. If you are a church-going person, take a blessing from the priest.
Step 2
The relics of Matrona are in the Intercession Monastery at the address: Moscow, st. Taganskaya 58. To get there, get to the Marksistskaya metro station. Follow the passage to the left, climb the stairs to your right. You will find yourself on Taganskaya street. Walk on the right side until you see a picture of Matrona.
Step 3
You can use public transport. From "Marksistskaya" to the monastery (stop "Abelmanovskaya Zastava") buses No. 51, No. 74 and trolleybuses No. 16, No. 26, No. 63 go.
Step 4
There is also an alternative route. Get off at the Krestyanskaya Zastava metro station in the direction of the 3rd Krutetskiy lane. Then go through the square of the Krestyanskaya Zastava to Abelmanovskaya Street. Without turning off, go to the monastery. You can walk along the same street to the monastery from the Proletarskaya station. Or take a tram (No. 12, No. 20, No. 43).
Step 5
The entrance to the monastery is allowed from 7 am to 8 pm. Sunday - from six in the morning. Visitors who do not have time to enter before eight have to wait for the next day. You can also leave later: the guards let the people out for a few more hours.
Step 6
There are two temples on the territory. On one you will see the icon of the Matrona of Moscow. It contains the relics of a saint. Services are held in another temple. In addition, to the right of the gate is a church shop selling books and icons.
Step 7
Go to the temple (no icon on the wall), buy candles. If you want, file notes for health and peace. Get in line at the shrine with the relics of Matrona.
