According to the priests, the human body is a temple, so it must be protected and kept clean, treating it with love and care. However, the salvation of the soul is more important than the salvation of the body, therefore, in the event of her illness or suffering for any reason, the soul can be healed in the church by entrusting it to the Lord God.
Disease and healing
In the first place for a person comes the spirit, then the soul and only then the physical body. If the body dominates the soul, the spirit is suppressed, and the person begins to sin, earning himself a variety of diseases. To prevent this from happening, it is necessary to keep thoughts and actions in moral and physical purity, since sin alienates a person from the divine principle. Forgiveness of sins and healing of the soul (body) people are able to receive free, by their faith in God, while others who do not believe in anything, at the energetic level, are as if covered with bodily and spiritual dirt.
In order for the soul to be cleansed and healed, it must undergo the healing and cleansing Sacrament of Penance.
When a person entrusts himself to God, his spirit begins to function as it was originally laid in him. After that, people begin to feel relief and recover - but for this they need to trust divine intervention and calm their souls, starting to pray to God for their healing with faith in his help. Priests often note cases when people who are suffering mentally and physically, after attending church and sincere confession, ending with no less sincere repentance for their sins and Communion, then return to them completely healed.
Sacrament of Soul Healing
Healing of the soul in the church takes place through Unction - the Sacrament, in which a sick or mentally suffering person is anointed with oil and the Grace of God is invoked on him, healing the spiritual and bodily infirmities of the sick person. The Unction got this name from the very performance of the Sacrament - ideally it should be conducted by a "council" consisting of seven priests, but if necessary, the presence of one priest is also allowed.
The history of Unction began at the time of Jesus Christ, who gave his apostles the power to heal sicknesses by anointing the afflicted with oil.
In the process of performing the Unction, the priest (or priests) read out seven texts from the Gospel and seven from the Apostolic Epistles. After reading each of them, the priest anoints the forehead, cheeks, chest and hands of a person with consecrated oil, and at the end of the reading of the Holy Scripture, he puts the opened Gospel on the head of the person being assembled and prays to God for the forgiveness of this person's sins. Unification requires repentance and faith from a person, since the healing of the soul is a gift of a loving and all-forgiving God, and not an absolute result of various manipulations.
