A strike is a legal method for employees of an enterprise to defend their rights. But for the strike to lead to real results and to be recognized as legal, it must be properly organized.
Instructions
Step 1
Study the law on strikes in the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and carefully review all the conditions on which the collective agreement was concluded with the workers. If you are not paid on time your wages, vacations and overtime are not paid, these are sufficient reasons to go on strike.
Step 2
Organize a group of workers, formulate your requirements and present them to the employer in writing.
Step 3
Wait for an answer. In the event that the authorities do not accept your conditions (and this often happens), a labor dispute will arise, which must be resolved in strict accordance with the law.
Step 4
Try to resolve this dispute with a mediator or through labor arbitration. If in this case the management of the enterprise will not meet you halfway, you can announce a future strike. By law, you must do this at least 10 days before it starts. Otherwise, the strike will be declared illegal, and its organizers may be fired or heavily fined.
Step 5
Determine in advance the timing and goals of the strike. Remember, the law is on your side. The dismissal of protesters and "lockouts" are officially prohibited.
Step 6
Conduct a general meeting of employees of the labor collective. It is only there that it is possible to legally make a decision to start a strike, provided that at least half of the participants vote for it. The results of the meeting should be reflected in the minutes.
Step 7
Be prepared for the organization's management to retaliate by threatening to fire, persuading workers individually, hiring freelance personnel during the strike. Your strength lies in unity, patience and perseverance. If the authorities are acting against the law, complain to the State Labor Inspectorate. This body will conduct a special investigation and try to find a way out of the protracted labor conflict.
