Organization of work with youth should be carried out purposefully, in close cooperation with the administration, internal affairs bodies, and the media. How to interest in full-fledged work not only young people themselves, but also to try to involve representatives of the authorities in it, who are not tired of broadcasting from the high rostrum about the need for a full-fledged youth policy?
Instructions
Step 1
Qualified work with young people always requires specialists and funds. No professional teacher would agree to work with young people for a “thank you”, and the organization of any event is always associated with considerable expenses. Of course, some kind of help will be provided by volunteers from among the same schoolchildren or students, but, firstly, they can pay attention to this only 2-3 hours a day, and, secondly, they do not have full-fledged experience of such work.
Step 2
Contact the department of social and youth policy (or similar) in order to present your plan for working with youth in the following areas: - special work (prevention of deviant behavior); - hobby education (electives, clubs, sections, circles, studios); - organization of mass media (dissemination of information interesting for young people of different social groups); - education (formal and informal, retraining); - developmental and recreational recreation (youth camps); - labor education (volunteering and official employment); - interregional and international Work.
Step 3
Listen to suggestions and comments on the plan. Make adjustments to the plan and estimate the cost of the initial organization of youth work. Make a proposal to organize in the near future a round table, seminar or conference on these issues with the involvement of the media, representatives of the administration and internal affairs bodies.
Step 4
Develop a round table program (seminar, conference). Contact the administration or sponsors with a proposal to hold it. Announce it in the media no later than six months before it starts.
Step 5
Before the conference starts, do not waste time and, with the help of the administration, media and sponsors, start putting your plan into practice. Pay special attention not only, as is often the case, to children from disadvantaged families or gifted youth, but to everyone equally. Create a city youth council of those boys and girls who are really authoritative in a particular area, or conduct a kind of open vote with the help of the media.
Step 6
Conduct a round table (conference, seminar) on pressing issues of youth policy in the region, country and world. You can use the materials of this event for the full organization of work in all areas of youth policy, since it is in this area that all decisions must be made together in order to have a tangible result.
