Biography
Nikolay Starikov was born on August 23, 1973. He received his name in honor of his grandfather, who served as an NKVD colonel. The father told the boy about the heroic deeds of his grandfather during the Great Patriotic War. Therefore, my grandfather became an example to follow, played a role in shaping the future politician.
As the author of dozens of books, Starikov does not advertise his personal life, information about his family and parents. It is only known that he has a wife and two children.
During his youth, he was a member of the Komsomol, and after the collapse of the USSR, he was educated at the Palmiro Togliatti Engineering and Economic Institute in St. Petersburg. In it he receives a diploma of an engineer-economist in chemistry. industry. However, he did not manage to work in his specialty because of the outbreak of the crisis in the country. By the year of graduation from the university (1992), the profession was not in demand.
In the next two years, Nikolai Viktorovich could not find a permanent job. I had to do different things:

The last position brought the man success, in this field he quickly grew from an ordinary manager to the head of the advertising department. He worked in the Starikov publication until 1998, after which he moved to Regional Television, becoming the deputy of the commercial department.
In August of the same year, another job change took place. In St. Petersburg, he was employed for the same position at Europa Plus. Five years later, he became the commercial director of the Channel One branch.

He made his debut as a writer in 2006. In 2011 he received a Runet Prize for the book Nationalization of the Ruble. Since 2013, he has been actively cooperating with the publishing house "Peter", which publishes a whole series of books "Nikolai Starikov recommends reading."
The author himself says that in his works he tries to explain the events that are taking place in our country. The main goal of creativity is to make people think, re-evaluate the events that have taken place, and draw conclusions about what is happening.
The works are saturated with patriotic ideas and conservative ideas. In his personal blog, the elderly oppose liberalism and actively support V. V. Putin. In the books, he repeatedly spoke about the positive influence of Stalin on the development of the country. The work “Stalin. We remember together. Political and social activities
He made his debut in politics in 2002, when he took part in the elections of deputies to the legislative assembly of St. Petersburg. The attempt was not very successful, since only 230 people voted for Nikolai Starikov.
In the summer of 2012, he creates the social network "Internet-Opolchenie". Its main goal is to disseminate reliable information, tell the truth, and expose the manipulation of facts. Members of the movement have repeatedly sent messages to the governor of St. Petersburg about the ban on gay pride parades.
In January 20015 he became the initiator of the Anti-Maidan movement. Its goal is a violent struggle against the "fifth column", preventing a change in the current government. Supported the idea:
- the leader of the Night Wolves fight club;
- member of the Federation Council Dmitry Sablin;
- world champion in fighting without rules Yulia Berezikova;
- actor Mikhail Porechenkov and some others.
The group does not have an official leader. The anti-Maidan supporters emphasize that this is not a Kremlin project, so they do not receive funding. In October 2015, Starikov held his first public appearance in Germany as part of the ongoing political conference.
On 2018-16-10, in a video message, Nikolai announced his resignation and termination of membership in the Great Fatherland Party. However, he stressed that he remains true to his ideas. In 2012, he made an attempt to organize criminal prosecution against Mikhail Gorbachev. After 6 months of work by lawyers, going to the courts, he gave up the idea.
Basic views
Nikolai Starikov supports the president, but not his economic course. He is an opponent of liberalism and separatism in any form. He actively starred in documentaries in which the emphasis is on the historical facts of Russia.
In his opinion:

- The main enemy of Russia is not the United States, but Great Britain, since "the destruction of the Russian Empire is one of the most successful operations of British intelligence."
- Representatives of the notorious Pussy Riot group are not eligible for Russian citizenship.
Starikov's speeches were repeatedly sharply criticized by both historians and economists. In their opinion, the author has a poor understanding of certain situations, is not competent in certain issues. Nikolai himself says that he draws most of the data from his memoirs. He is not a certified historian, but this is what gives him the opportunity to objectively treat all materials.
